One Less Senator

Vi'kas boarded a shuttle, preparing for an assassination mission. His quarry was a hiding Republic Senator on Coruscant. He wasn't sure what planet the man was from, though. He was only given a few meager details. He knew the man was hiding in the slums, with one elite bodyguard. Not much, but he could work with it.

He told the pilot to set coordinates for Coruscant. He had been to the city-planet several times before. It was large and chaotic; one of the reasons the Sith used it as their capital. He had never been to the lower levels, though. It was guaranteed to be a learning experience, for sure.

Vi'kas landed on Coruscant, walking into the spaceport. Nobody was to know he arrived, this mission was top-secret. He had several things with him. Some rations and water, a suspiciously large datapad, his lightsaber, his stealth armor, and this new blade he would be testing out. He was already in the armor, so he only had to strap the hidden blade to his arm.

Some sort of alien came up to greet him. He saw this as an opportunity to try out this new toy of his. With a flick of his wrist, the device made a hissing sound. A small blade shot out and impaled the alien through the neck, its body dropping to the floor, dead. He raised his eyebrows. Impressive, he thought. He reloaded the device, and dragged the corpse behind a refueling station. He liked the device overall, though the hissing noise was a bit inconvenient.

Before entering the crowded area of the spaceport, he grabbed the rough image of his quarry. His cybernetic eye scanned his face, and cross-referenced it with traffic cameras in the area. He managed to get a few hits. They were all spread over a general distance in the lower levels. He frowned. The area was several square miles, a lot of distance to cover, especially on Coruscant.

He examined an area where a cluster of hits had come from. He zoomed in on the area. They all seemed to be in close radius of some casino. He searched the casino on the holonet, and it was evidently a very high-up place, only the rich went there. He grinned, knowing how much senators loved luxury. In addition, he found that the casino's owner was being watched by the OSI for possibly being a Republic sympathizer. He grinned again, Bingo.
