Queen of Alderaan
It could not be held onto any longer. Faith had before her the request of the High Council that Alderaan Queen step down from her position as head of the Coalition.
For months they had brought their case to her outlining the reasons why they felt it was in the best interests of Alderaan that she turn her focus to just Alderaan. She sighed heavily it was not a demand but a request.
She had a similiar request from her husband [member="Draco Vereen"] . The Coalition required a lot of attention not only did she travel for Alderaan but for the Coalition. At times putting her life in danger. He had watched her fret over Manaan, and then over Hapes, and Dorsis.
Even then the Council had asked to step aside. it would not break the Coalition it would provide new blood, new ideas, and free her time for her home. There were numerous trade agreements to be made while she could put some of it on [member="Marina DeVoe"] she could not put it all.
Claire had stepped down as Ambassador for Alderaan citing personal reasons. Faith could not argue with her cousin about her reasons.
It was difficult to make such a decision.
There was someone to step into her place. The Representative from Sarapin who had expressed an interest in a larger role. He had proven on many occasions to be a man of vision and he was 10 years her junior. He could serve as an interim Leader.
As she thought about it, she could feel the apprehension growing inside her. Would the next person care as much? Would they be sure to take care of the members? Would............she had to stop.
The needs of her people were certainly more precious then the Coalition.
She drafted the note of her intentions that in 3 days she would brief for the last time.
