One step at a time, Valery maneuvered her way through Onderon's thick jungle. This was the place where she been recovered from stasis all those years ago. Or, well, close to it. The actual facility was up ahead in the mountains, and provided a passage to get to the other side of the tall cliffs. It had been a strategic point of defense once, in the days of the Old Republic, but now all that remained were remnants of the scientific lab they had converted it into. The lab where they had experimented on her. Years ago, she had gone back there with Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble to confront this part of her past, but recent visions had sparked her into returning.

She had seen something, someone, and needed to find out more.

The path to get there, however, wasn't an easy one to walk. The jungles were filled with dangerous creatures, and over the years, nature had reclaimed every bit of infrastructure that was built to reach the facility. From out where she was, she couldn't even see it, but she knew it was there, waiting for her. After a few hours of walking away from the closest town, Valery finally decided to take a break. She sat down on the trunk of a fallen tree, and raised a hand up through her hair. Alone, this trip wasn't all that exciting, but she needed to do this.

Perhaps it would get more interesting somewhere along the way.

Despite most of his limbs being cybernetic, Xeykard had never much trusted technology. Those who specialized in such things he preferred to keep at arm's length -- well within saber range.

But, having approached the Dark Lord himself, and found his own power atrociously lacking, he needed new strength if there was any hope of survival. Most avenues were locked off to him; reading was massively difficult for him, and he was no sorcerer. The strength of the dark side so often evaded him. But physical strength? There were many ways to defeat an enemy, and he had always prided himself on physical ability.

Even in the seat of warlord, he found his power waning. The Sith assassins sent after him had given him enormous trouble. If he were to go further, achieve something greater, there had to be a next step.

With much effort, he'd managed to pore through some of the archives on Dromund Kaas to discover this ancient place. The last time he'd been on Onderon, it was descending into chaos due to the work of another Sith. Now, the jungle seemed to be at peace. Hiding his presence, he'd been undisturbed on his slow walk to the ancient facility.

Soon enough he reached the primary entrance, a pair of massive durasteel bay doors, overgrown after millennia. He placed a telekinetic hand on each door and pried them open, causing metal to screech against metal, and scaring off a number of jungle birds. With that, he started inside.

Onderon was a curious place. He personally hated the overdone architecture and especially he disliked jungles, but alas, despite probably being plundered and looted a dozen times over, the place still was interesting. The Force had an active sway over this world and it was enough to warrant a small, personal expedition to one of the less important sites.

He had found an old record during his studies of the Cold War, that there was a laboratory in this part of the jungle of scarce information on it. A curiosity most likely but the history of Onderon alone has shown that coincidence and random chance were not going hand in hand with the Force. He was drawn to this place. During his studies the data basically jumped at him and he followed.

Now he was making his way through the deep jungle, having landed his craft less than a kilometer away, he made the rest on foot. Dressed in a long, neutral dark robe, his hood barely over his head to shield from the sun, he was pushing plants and branches out of his way to get to the place. No animal was coming too close to him, they never have, he just put them off.
