One way, or another

Gavin's new fury waited in silver jedi space for a challenger. He had been here a few days now, waiting for a jedi to come. He was slightly worried that they would send more than one jedi, but not too much. The plan was simple, wait for a jedi to come, board his ship, then duel.. Somehow, he felt that the jedi would be here oon, and that by tommorows end,it would be over, one way or another.

Sukai was not expecting someone to challenge the SJO in the form of single combat, and a Sith at that, mostly because from her own experiences and what she knew about dark order revolved around winning no matter the tactic used or the cost. Though the inner warrior of her Jin heritage just could not say no to a hopefully honorable duel between to force users, as well as provide a mean to gain more combat training without having to worry about getting bomb or fellow Jedi.

The small Jeid star fighter excited hyperspace at the desginated location, thankfully so far nothing had indicated to it being a trap, the Sith ship hovering menisally overhead, "Show off, lets just hope this ain't a trap so some elaborate ruse to capture me, my old teacher may still habour some hard feelings".

Gavin looked at the jedi ship, then ordered the crew to engaged the tractor beams. "Ready twin precision cannons, aim at the engine. Bring the ship into the hanger" One officer turned to him and said "Sir, that is a jedi ship, why don't we just obliterate it with the proton torpedoes?" To this Gavin replied "Are you questioning my orders" "N-no sir" was the reply. "Good, Fire precision cannons at the engine, do not destroy it, but make sure they won't be able to fight efficiently." Gavin then went to the hanger bay and ordered that it be cleared of all ships. He began doing some practice strokes, making sure he was all ready for the fight, while using the cannons to make it as uncomfortable as possible for the jedi.

Sukai eyed the ship from what felt like an hour, wondering if anything was going to happen, for the most part the entire ship looked un-alive, its engine currently on hold and most of its light dimmed or off completely. The silent atmosphere was suddenly broken as laser fire engulfed her fighter, its small shielding quickly failing, the engines being knocked out within the blink of an eye, but said barrage not going any further. ".... really, no ion cannons or tractor beam, need to knock out my craft using laser.... typical Sith". For now, nothing could be done, least wait for the large Sith craft to take her in, and be boarded, "This ship is over 800 years old... whoever was responsible for order that bombardment will pay dearly for this".

Gavin turned on his comlink "Cease fire, open the hanger bay doors and bring the ship in." Gavin reached out wiht the force, sensing who was in the ship. Someone about his skill level, another apprentice, that he was grateful for. He ignited his lightsaber, preparing for a fight.

Sukai suddenly felt a jerk on her ship as it was pulled in by the craft, the hanger bays opening, revealing a somewhat empty space, a long finger standing in the open, with a lightsabre pike of all weapons at the ready. "Soo, I guess they did want a fight but why damage my ship? Guess Sith just don't trust Jedi enough... tough I would not consider myself a Jedi in any regards". As her fighter drifted into the hanger bay gravity took over, making the craft fall to the ground, the canopy opening as a fail safe, allowing Sukai to leap out onto to hanger bay floor, several meters from what she assumed to be her Sith opponent.

".... That outfit, if my studies are right to go by are a shadow guard are you not", she studies her opponent carefully as the both stood still, her sabre staff yet to ignite, but in hand and ready. A lightsabre pike was tricky, it wielded similarly to a sabre staff like her own, but had longer reach and was heavier. Her own mother, whom she had spared with on regular occasions, used a sabre pike, but wielded in the fashion of a Naginata fighter from Atsrisa, shadow guard where different so she could not use the same methods in her attacks this would require a different approach.
