Discussion OOC: Divergent Destinies | Lightsworn vs Dark Empire

That’s right, people, it’s that time again.

Following the illustrious Battle of Coruscant (version whatever), we here at Lightsworn HQ have cooked up a pair of skirmishes to scratch the PvP itch while we wait for the next invasion. As per usual, the goal is to engage in fun stories with low stakes that should ideally lead to long-term storylines within and without our glorious minor faction.

We’ve spoken at great lengths with representatives of the Dark Empire, and the far more interesting Dark Side Elite, to get this rolling. Do not fear. We learned our lesson from last time.

If you’re interested in either thread, let us know below so we can lock you in. The goal is to keep things even, so please bear with us if we have to move folks around to get a solid line-up for both threads. Ki-yap.

Anyway, targets.

Tython

This seems pretty straightforward. The Lightsworn have been dead set on hitting Tython from the very beginning given its status as the ancestral home of the Jedi Order.

The story will see a strike team led by Bernard Bernard sent to assassinate Sinestra Sinestra within the corrupted halls of Akar Tsis. Given the nice recording provided to us by Darth Solipsis Darth Solipsis , we know the Dark Empire has been making the lives of those still trapped on Tython pretty bad. There are plenty of other targets you could hit, such as one of the temples with trapped Jedi, or a slew of artifacts left behind following the Galactic Alliance’s defeat and withdrawal.

Ession

As it turns out, fighting a war against bigger and badder enemies is a pretty tough job. We’re losin’ ships left and right out here, so we thought it was about time to start building up the armada. This one was brought to us by the illustrious Heinrich Faust Heinrich Faust !

We’ll see a team led by Faust head back to Ession to reclaim some dormant assets from the once seat of the Ashlan Crusade. Unfortunately, our heroes are not the only band out in force. The Fallen Jedi, Rhis Fisto, now known as Creuat Creuat , leads a team of Dark Siders to the Grand Jedi Temple to deliver a devastating blow against the Light!

Come kill these bastards.

Definitely tempted to go visit the ship yards at Ession with Isla, although Isla already had a pretty good rummage around there after the collapse. Being the Grand Admiral and Prime minister gave her easy access to the choice pickings :).

She also has a castle on a planet in the next Hex that she uses to keep an eye on Ession from.

This character isn’t a member of any faction, but he’s a Dark Jedi corrupted by a TBD object and looking to bring down the Jedi Order. If there’s a place for him to fight the Jedi, I’ll join in. I can work with someone at DE to figure out a story point for why he would be there.

Kyric Kyric , I mentioned on the DE server when we spoke about the thread that I'll bring Amalasuntha L'lerim Amalasuntha L'lerim or Eina L'lerim-Vandiir Eina L'lerim-Vandiir to Ession. If I find partnerto both ladies and it is necessary (or need the group as a background support), I'll bring both of them.

Added Amalasuntha L'lerim Amalasuntha L'lerim to Ession for now. If the other lass is joining, or you wanna roll her out instead, just lemme know. Easy fix.

I threw you on Tython because there are plenty of Jedi on the planet. I imagine it wouldn't be hard for Padd to get into some nonsense there.

Sinestra is a powerful seer, and that has always been a perfect mcguffin to get me an “in” angle for a thread when Im struggling.

If you don’t figure out an “in”, you can always say some Force vision guide you there at that particular time. Could even be Sinestra twisting the vision for her own needs.

To the extent we end up with uneven numbers, I will sit out. Something unexpected came across my desk yesterday that’s going to limit my availability for the next couple of weeks anyway. I don’t like being the slow link in the battle chain.
