Hello, I’m new to all of this so I have no idea how to do anything

Welcome! For starters, I suggest looking in the timeline here to get yourself familiar with the basics as far as where the galaxy is at right now. All factions are run by writers, which you'll be able to see at the top where it says "Map." The getting started section is always a good place to figure out how to get rolling, as is joining the discord, which should be linked in the top right corner. If you're looking for folks to start writing with, you can post a "looking for group" post in the section by the same name. And, of course, all threads that state they are Public are fair game to jump straight into. This one or this one for example.

If you have any other questions, reaching out to other writers or site staff for guidance is always a good option. I imagine you'll always find someone online in the discord server.

No worries. Happy to help new folks out. One more thing for you, since I just read your character sheet, unfortunately by the present day in the galaxy we don't have a Galactic Republic. Closest thing to it is Galactic Alliance. Since you're interested in Naboo though, there's a new Naboo based faction that just cropped up, the Royal Naboo Republic. I suggest poking your head in there if you're looking for other Naboo based writers. They're good folks.

Thank you! I don’t know if it’s cause I’m stupid or just reading wrong but I was having trouble understanding where we are in the galaxy. But that helps a lot! I’ll edit my character accordingly, again thank you!

No worries lol. We're a bit in the future in regards to Canon and legends, so sometimes it can be a bit confusing starting off. You'll get the hang of things.

Ah, one last thing, planets not in one of those colorful sections we call clouds are neutral space. So anyone can do anything there. Naboo is neutral at the moment, being used by a minor faction as opposed to a major faction. (Big difference there is that minor factions don't hold territory on the map and can exist inside major factions) If you're curious about where any planet lies, there's a search key on the side that will let you quickly locate a planet you may be curious about.
