This is a PVE skirmish against the Intergalactic Banking Clan Headquarters, located on Scilio.

This is a skirmish action and it will not affect the hexes in the map game. But it will definitely affect RP for numerous minor factions.

Yes, RPly speaking, this is a retaliation for the bank heist on Coruscant that happened recently. Jedi types, this is your turn to give it back.

For the benefit of the Sith and darksider players, I will say this. You have an opportunity to defend the bank, too. There will be RP consequences for the principal players in this raid, even if it is wildly successful. Some of the key players involved in this raid have already agreed that retaliation for the bank heist is a very fair receipt for these actions. The individuals involved will face consequences that could profoundly affect faction-level RP. So if you sign up for this bank heist, you are also consenting to the possibility of your character being hurt, knocked unconscious, or even killed - at the defenders' discretions.

Mission Background

After raiding the Gree Enclave's Hypergate Operations Facility on Asation, Governor Ova Ziss performed a splice of the whole Gree network, and their Trade Federation friends.

He and his Diarchy allies learned that the International Banking Clan has been running a scam on numerous planets in the Braxant Run, wherein they provided paid planetary security but they also plundered their own customers with piracy.

The Trade Federation figured deeply into these plans by keeping entities such as Apex Holdings, and even the Dantooine government, permanently indebted to the Corporate Sector.

Together with Glade and her team on hacking duty, and with Nyva taking aim with a sniper, Ova Ziss developed a "Robin Hood" scheme. It was a vigilante scheme, born from the hacking group Rogue Protocol and the roughneck biker crew called the Space Wolves. The plan is simple: retaliation. The Team would steal everything the Banking Clan had, just as the Banking Clan had done to their corporate and personal customers. Then, the money would be distributed to the "CSILLA TRUST", a not for profit fund that was recently founded by the Diarchy to rebuild destroyed planets such as Csilla. The Team would restore the money stolen from Banking Clan customers and from innocent businesses to their accounts.

When the job was done, and the building evacuated, Rogue Protocol would blow the facility sky-high.

Objective 1: The Hackers - Bank Raid "A Team"
Primary Objective: Infiltrate the IGBC Bank Vault.
Secondary Objective: Hack the IGBC / Trade Federation Debtor Archives and change the debt list.
Tertiary Objective: Escape without being compromised.
RP Flavor: Spy intrigue

The "A" Team is the infiltration unit. They will be directly interacting with the Banking Clan's staff, employees, and security team. They will use their disguises, and the cover of "S Team", to enter into the Banking Clan Headquarters. They will be dressed as security guards, administrators, Storm Troopers, and Sith Imperialists. The infiltration unit will be hacking into the basement vault and then busting through the five security zones. They will penetrate the vault, and then the mainframe room of the Debtor Archives. Their goal is to wipe every single bank account in the vault, spike the system for future information, and seize information that could be used to liberate people under Sith Imperial control. The hackers must also place a special trojan into the Archives that will scramble the debts owed by various people and corporations to the Trade Federation, which will release tens of thousands of people from indentured servitude.

Objective 2: The Rangers - Bank Raid "B" Team
Primary Objective: Neutralize the enemy's opposition, using the snowy mountain ranges as cover.
Secondary Objective: Secure the covert operation. Make sure that "A" Team is not compromised, killed, or hurt by the Banking Clan's security forces.
Tertiary Objective: Activate the explosions once the Team's escape is certain.
RP Flavor: Cops and robbers

The B Team would be responsible for overseeing the safety of "A" team and "S" team. They will be disguised as stormtroopers, Mandalorian bodyguards, and other security forces on the base. The Banking Clan, the Sith, and the Dark Empire may take steps to stop the bank robbery as it is happening. This ranged support team will be responsible for counter intelligence against this enemy, together with "S" team. They have to remain covert and in the shadows so that the bankers do not see them. They may need to talk their way out of suspicions. At the same time, the support team must watch for enemies and dispatch them [PVE / Duels]. At the end of the mission, during the escape, "B Team" gets the satisfaction of activating the det charges

Objective 3: Getaway - Bank Raid "S" Team
Primary Objective: Use the Trade Federation cover vehicles to pick up the team; leave false evidence that implicates the Trade Federation.
Secondary Objective: Back up "B" Team rangers as they secure the mountain pass for the escape.
Tertiary Objective: Empty the building of civilians and evacuate them to prepare for the "det charge finale".
RP Flavor: Grand Theft Auto

The "S" Team will form a false "Trade Federation Blockade" around the sub-orbital atmosphere and around the Banking Clan Headquarters. This will trick the Banking Clan into believing that the Trade Federation has authorized the withdrawal. The "S" Team will need to pretend to be Sith mercenaries. The "Trade Federation Blockade" will also delay the arrival of planetary security. When the Banking Clan later finds the missing data and the spike in the archives, they will blame the Trade Federation. In addition to placing the false lead, and create an escape route, the "S" Team must order the evacuation of the civilians inside of the Banking Clan building. This will allow the "A" Team to empty the credits, precious metals, jewelery, antiques, kyber crystals, and datapads that came from the vault / archives.

After the Team's escape, they will then destroy the bank headquarters with no casualties.

Objective 4: Bank Defenders - Team Y

Team "Y" will be the united security forces of the Banking Clan, the mercenaries they employ, and figures who will be significantly impacted by the bank raid. Team "Y" are the actual security forces of Scipio and the custodians of the bank. Team Y will be defending the Banking Clan from the heist.

This won't happen for a while (need a week or two to coordinate with the Sith factions), so there is lots of time for signup.

I got some Discord questions and comments.

Some of them kinda pissed me off, to be honest - even, some from my own faction. Others were quite reasonable.

I didn't realize people got this serious about a game. I mean, if a character dies, my understanding is that you just make a new character and move on.

But I can see that some people have developed psychological limerence for their characters.

I am not one of them. I live in reality.

So, I am going to answer all of the inquiries at once.
  • Regarding the money RPly going to the "CSILLA Trust". First off, just because it says that, does NOT mean the money is actually going there. Second off. If you are STILL upsetti spaghetti about the Csilla OOC thread after several months now, then please. The official, admin decision was that destroyed planets could not be restored. Admins said nothing about sending diplomatic or economic missions to destroyed planets to document the destruction. This is still fine. Admins said nothing about using destroyed planets as propaganda against those who destroyed them. This is still fine - and codexes will DEFINITELY be subbed. They only told us that a black, destroyed planet icon on the map would stay a black icon on the map forever. Nothing about this, invalidates that. But what does that have to do with my bank heist?

Fine then. I will call the Csilla Trust the "Banana Raincoat Wearing Bantha Club". Happy?

  • If this means I am out of the Diarchy for doing "unapproved military actions" or some technical foul chit like that, then I guess I'm out. Star Wars RP can't just be people sitting around tables and doing diplomacy, and doing pseudo-social crap. It's boring. That bores me.
    • But if I'm out, I'm taking my factories and codexes with me. And if I'm out, I'm not letting the Diarchy populate Dantooine.
  • I am hearing people directing things at me like, "you are not leadership of the Diarchy, you have no power to do this." Uh, what? Karking excuse me? This is not a Diarchy military campaign. This is not a Diarchy military campaign. I am playing this game, I can GM any thread I would like, and I did not violate any forum rules. This is not an official map action. If I want to send my character on an utter mad person mission to try and rob a bank with a team of people who consensually RP with me, that's my prerogative. It's not an invasion. It's not a map action. So uhm, yes? I can do this? And I'm going to do this? Too bad for the haters, I guess? You're getting VETO'D.

  • For greater clarification, this is a PVE and/or 1v1 raid, and this is not an official map action directed at any faction.

  • For the third time, this is not a map action. Anyone can do a skirmish. I did one in November. On Dantooine. Nobody complained.

  • It's funny that nobody complained when I just independently did swoop racing and skirmish stuff in the past, but they now care that I am trying to do a bank heist. Your character is in just as much danger. Your character faces just as many consequences: none. What is the actual difference? Is a swoop race not just as consequential RPly? People die epicly in swoop races. Mr. Usher just exploded that way. I do not understand the opposition to this skirmish, when there have been skirmishes just like it in the recent past.

  • You can't just RP without any consequences or without bad things happening to your character(s) and faction(s), Sorry. It doesn't work that way. If you think it works that way, I will happily get the Codex and Factory judges to dispel your illusions, as well as just about every person on this site who cares about creating quality RP. If you don't care about making quality RP, you should not be on this site at all. If you don't care about making quality RP - you should not be on this site at all.

  • Anyone is welcome to join, including to defend the bank from this skirmish action. Maybe the verbiage is not exact, I did have to adjust the title to fit into one line, but I explicitly welcomed all factions to the RP. I welcomed pretty much anyone, so long as they could pick an objective and be reasonable. I got the impression that that's what we are trying to do in The Diarchy, is be welcoming and reasonable. I've recently received some messages from people saying they might not be interested in doing that anymore. I have a serious problem with that. That's not what I'm about, and I'll be talking to those people about whether I want to stay in the Diarchy after hearing that.

  • I want to expressly point out that the name of this website is Star Wars Chaos, and that it is not "Star Wars Diplomacy Simulator". The idea of creating chaos, sowing discord, and doing things which are disruptive to normal life, like bank heists, is the entire point. The state of war, is a normal state. And again - similar things have happened. Didn't see much opposition to the bank raid on Coruscant. I guess that's because they aren't brooding babies who RP themselves whining in the corner of a room for four rounds before talking to anyone.

  • Becoming a major faction, or owning a major faction, or being an admin of a major faction, doesn't mean you get to tell everybody else what to do and invalidate RP. "Not trying to be an a****le saying that". Because if you do, they karking leave. Scilio is an independent hex on an unoccupied space. I designed this mission to offend major factions as little as possible. I searched high and low for forum lore. All I saw was Muunilist, and in that thread, basically everybody was hating on the Banking Clan. I did my research to do this bank heist and to pick a heist location that would impact nobody (except the NPC faction Banking Clans) in any serious way. Did YOU do the research to try and rebut it, naysayers? No, ya didn't.

  • For even greater clarification, the Sith Order will not be impacted - because this is PVE. Only the Dark Empire Banking Clan characters will be affected. But they won't. Because this is PVE.

  • The Dark Empire has a chance to defend themselves per objective 4. Ignore whatever hatred and vitriol is coming from other "admins" of the Diarchy. I want your RP. I want to RP with you. Rellik wants to RP with you. Reign wants to RP with you. There's even a guy going around telling people not to RP with me. To that guy, to that person - kark that guy.

Can I just say something, for one second, to a handful of rotten apple RPers causing trouble?

    Hi bad apples.

    I play DND.

I am GM for DND - Dungeons and Dragons - another RPG.

I GM some DND for teenagers once a week.

Teenagers, have been more accepting of what happens to their characters and factions.

    Teenagers.

So if you are honestly saying, that you have less acceptability of what happens to your character / faction than teenagers, I think that says a lot, in a lot of really bad ways, about you as a roleplayer. I would look in the mirror, and I do mean that sincerely, and think about if this game is so serious, about whether it really is all that important to you in your life so as to affect you so personally.

That's all, I've said my peace.

Now let's rob this karking Sith bank!
