With a flamboyant twirl and a jangling of bells, a jester, with a painted white face and violet hair, leaped to center stage, wearing a brightly colored costume shimmering under the mysterious and star-like lighting of the sky. He flourishes his hat with an exaggerated bow, his mischievous grin drawing the crowd's eager attention. Standing tall on the platform, he raises a hand dramatically, his voice booming with playful authority as he begins his grand announcement, captivating every eye and ear within reach.
"Do you crave the thrill of uncovering dazzling new realms and traipsing through worlds unseen? Do you adore snatching up free trinkets and oh-ho-so-sparkly signature bling? Well then, my merry friends and wayseekers, this is your moment!"
"Every jig you dance…", the jester leaped and clicked his heels, "…and choice you prance will twist the tale, shaping the trials you'll tussle with, the comrades you'll cavort alongside, and, oh yes, the grand finale of your adventure! Your choices, dear wanderer, are the keys to the kingdom, turning every twist and tumble into a magnificent tale!"
He somersaulted forward and back before hopping onto his pointed elfin shoes, bells sewn onto the toes jingling as he did so. Gloved hands waved toward the portal at his back as his voice continued in a melodic and sing-song cadence.
"Explore Diavolin, a city located several hops, skips, and jumps from a truly terrible place that some refer to as Chaos or Hell. Plunge into a boundless, bustling world, bursting with curiosities, splendor, and secrets hiding 'round every cobblestone and shadowy corner!"
"Gather glittering relics and potent prizes to tip the scales of destiny itself! These treasures…"
His hands waved in a flourish as small fireworks erupted nearby. Illusions of trinkets and gadgets floated down on parachutes, appearing as though by mysterious and supernatural means. Just a glimpse of what might be available should they cross the threshold.
"...oh so fine, will open doors, and perhaps tilt events in your favor."
Miming as though he were pulling on a rope, the portal brightened and turned translucent, revealing the mysterious land that lay beyond them.
"So, adventurers, gather your wits and don your grins—it's time to turn your secret in. That's the price of entry dearest wanderers...Just one secret."
- SETTING: The Shattered Reach, Netherworld - Diavolin - An ethereal realm of broken landscapes, floating fragments of ancient ruins, and rivers of searing light cascading into bottomless voids. The air crackles with raw Force energy, chaotic and unrelenting.
- THEME: An inclusive Winter Solstice event where all SWRP writers are welcome to participate. Most cultures recognize Life Day and varying seasonal holidays in different ways. Jedi and other light-aligned Force users seem to embrace it with joy and unity. Sith and other dark-aligned beings mark this time with events steeped in remembrance and power. The everyday civilian might just be grateful for another year passing in relative peace and good fortune. This thread is intended to allow space for exploration in a new setting, competition, mystery, personal stakes, and most importantly: Fun.
- Story: Portals have mysteriously opened all over the galaxy with jester-esque envoys that are luring people inside with the promise of adventure, riches, and an appeal to curious minds about lands unknown and undiscovered. It seems that all are invited to participate in the Winter Solstice of Diavolin...Although, the jesters don't rely on charm alone to ensnare visitors. There is a hum in the air that draws force-sensitive beings nearer to the portals...But it is equally possible that a non-force sensitive could stumble across one. RP will be both free-form and guided when available.
- Activities Within Diavolin:
- Midnight Revel (Meeting Hub, Feast - Held at the Nether Moon Cantina)
- Shard of Power (Scavenger Hunt)
- Echoes of the Past ( Vision Quests, Character Development)
- Open Exploration (Diavolin is a strange, strange place with a dark past, but that doesn't make it inherently evil. It's very upside down from real space with odd occurrences in a place where the land almost seems to "breathe" and feel alive. It provides those with things they need, though, not necessarily what they want.)

- Trinkets: Six winter-themed submissions can be claimed automatically by writers. For every third post, the participant can choose a new item from the list.
