Commenor.

It had been many months since Lori was back on her home planet. Her time had been spent elsewhere, travelling from planet to planet across the Galaxy in her little training fighter the Grey Sparrow. But doing all of that by herself made her miss her twin brother [member="Caedyn Arenais"] , as well as her parents. All of them were off doing their own thing, just as she was. And with the Sith blockading their routes to the Core, Lori had come home through the southern hyperspace lane.

Such tension and anger in the Galaxy would surely have her family worry for her, so here was where Lori went. No doubt her twin brother would be arriving too, if tensions escalated to war.

That would be bad.

Lori grinned to herself however, finding the time to set up one of her little traps for Caedyn. She was at the bottom of the Eldritch Mountains in the forest, a forest that they played in a lot when they were little. It was remote, but not too remote. Often the two would explore and practice some of the skills of Force use that was once forbidden by their parents.

Today however she had prepared a simple little trap to ambish him with. A thin tripwire was arranged across the trail at ankle level, followed by another that was right at the right stride level. It was a double-whammy! The first tripwire would trigger a bucket of syrup that would launch it's contents at the unsuspecting victim from the bushes. The second tripwire would launch a volley of baking flour from the bushes on the other side, intending to coat the victim with white powder, whether the first tripwire worked or not.

Lori had spent a good hour or so setting it up, doing her best to not leave too much of an indication that someone had recently travelled on that path. Oh this was going to be perfect!! The sound of footsteps in the distance gave her pause. Was it Caedyn? She quickly scrambled up a nearby tree, using the foliage for cover. Oh the look on his face was going to be priceless!

Now she just waited it out.

The Eldritch Mountains.

I had heard quite a bit about the rather secluded place. Where one could go to seek the silence of the forest, or find themselves within the trees. I could have only heard of it in name alone, and so I was unsure if this was the real place or not. I probably should have gotten directions from the city a while ago. Seeing as there were so many people who were open to different species and cultures. There were so many different embassies and places where other factions around the Galaxy had come in hopes of working with the CSA. While I was not really looking for a place to work, I was more so looking for just a quiet place to be. To exist.

The land that was in my name on Eshan... I couldn't return. Not yet. There was much I had to do before I could face my father once more. I had a job to do. However, it was nice to get away from it all for a week or two. Just some place to stay and to hide away from the rest of the galaxy. Breathing in deeply, I could smell the woods and the growing of many plants. The Children of Mother Nature. Even if this was not the famed forests of the Eldritch mountains, I would find a place here that I could call my own.

Walking through the forest, I could hear some noises up ahead. Were they some creatures? If so, I might be able to hunt a little bit and get some food. Seeing as I was somewhat lacking in credits at the moment to buy everything to make a real meal, and I hated to waste them on just food. Slowly, I drew the compound bow from my back. Softly knocking an arrow into it. Taking careful steps forward, I could ever so slightly feel something tugging on my leg as I was moving my leg forward. I stopped the instant I felt any resistance.

Looking down, was a tripwire. Traps set up for a creature? Was this a hunting ground of someone else? If so, I didn't want to trip it. My off hand slowly reached down and held the wire as I moved my foot back from the wire. Gently I returned the wire back to it's resting position. Using the very slightest of motions to move over the wire and to not touch it. Turning around to attempt in inspecting it, I took one more step back before I heard a snap.

My mind and body went into overdrive. I attempted to dodge what seemed to be white large bags of something hurling at me. At the attempt to sidestep it, I was hit in the back of my head, and the back with something else. A huge plume of white dust rose from where I was standing and I could feel powder falling down the back of my shirt and fiberweave. I moved back away from the large explosion of coarse mist when I felt the tripwire go off. Attempting to once more move out of the path, a loud splash of something hit the ground. Spraying everywhere over my pants and side. While it had missed my head, I looked up to see a swinging bucket that must have held something, and after looking at the bags that hit me,

All I could do was sigh as this trap was meant as a prank for someone. Angry at the person who made this, and angry at myself for falling into the trap when I clearly saw the first wire. Only, it seemed I had hit the wires backwards. I was supposed to have been hit with this liquid first, and then this flower or baking ingredient. It would have sticked to me for quite a long time. However, even at this rate, it would take quite a washing to take the flour out of my suit, and the smell of... syrup out of my pants and hem of my uniform.

"And all I wanted was a place to be quiet."

Lori clamped her hand over her mouth to stifle her giggle as she heard the traps going off. Oh boy! Cae was going to look hilarious!! Too bad she didn't have a datapad with her as she totally would've taken a picture! Then show it off to his girlfriend!

She made her way down the tree that she had used as her hiding spot, landing with a thump at the tree's base. Then Lori giggled some more as she came out from the bushes to the trail.

"I can't believe you fell for it, Cae! You're training has--" She stopped in her tracks, her jaw hanging open slightly as she came across [member="Shaun Irons"] who was clearly NOT her twin brother. "--I mean, geez Mister, what happened to you?" Her eyes focused on his bow for a moment. The man was armed too! Just great! She chewed the inside of her cheek as she waited to see if the man believed her innocence or not.
