Open House

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay was hardly a selfish person. But with her credits that she had saved and with her new jobs, she had decided to splurge and buy herself a house. Yes, she had bought herself a home, a cottage. And where else but on Bakura? It was a small cottage in the forest near a large stream, but not too close in case it flooded. Still, it enabled her to always have access to clean water.

Saalis D'ar was the nearest port and twenty minute speeder ride away down a narrow path. It was really one that was made for walking.

The cottage itself was hidden by mirrors and raised into the trees. It gave her ample views and made it harder to spot. The path that led to it continued on, leaving less chance of someone stumbling onto it. The cottage itself was protected by shields that were strong enough to sustain hits by most blaster rifles. Yet with no bounties on her head, she wasn't too worried.

The sun was just setting as Kay had finished her evening meal and was now sitting in a comfy chair, tea cup and datapad in hand as she went over documents and contracts for the Brotherhood of Crimson Lotus. Her responsibilities with them were on the diplomatic end. The Brotherhood wanted to rid the Galaxy of the Sith and she had to do her best to not turn the entire Galaxy into an explosive battlefield. There was a lot on her plate with them, the Republic and Romeo Sin's companies of which she was now the CEO of. At least she got to have a few moments by herself when she needed them.

Rapax journeyed to Bakura to pay one of Ferus's old spies a visit, He has heard alot about [member="Lady Kay"] and her work across the galaxy as a politician. He kept his immortal armor on in case of any surprises that may await him, One of the spies that saw Lady Kay here said she was alone however reliable information was hard to come by even with the greatest of agents. Lady Kay was good with words even against the most war like of sith. He trudged up the hill through the snow until he approached the cube like house, A cube in a tree for someone like her how humble. He could feel her presence like a beacon from the moment he landed here, He hid his presence in the force before he came here. He leaped up to a near by tree and work on making his way to the roof to climb in.

It was usually so peaceful here, and that was why she enjoyed it so much. Even though it was the place of her eventual capture by bounty hunters, and other various attempts, it still hadn't scared her away. The close proximity to Sith space also didn't scare her away. Kay sipped her tea, a small sense of foreboding made itself known for a flicker of a moment. Was Ferus around? He had a habit of just popping up out of nowhere.

She got to her feet and headed over to one of the windows, leaving the datapad behind. It was hard for her to see with the lights, so she turned them all down. After her eyes adjusted, she squinted and looked around through the trees. There didn't appear to be anything, no sounds of speeders either, or any ships. Good. Kay turned the lights back on and headed back to her chair, getting herself comfortable once more. Probably was just her imagination.

Rapax stopped when he heard her move and shut the lights off and stayed quiet where he was hoping she wouldn't see him. He noticed the lights turn back on, Perhaps she was checking the outside for unwanted guests people in her position make many enemies so paranoya was expected. He quietly made his way over to the room she was in but the floor he walked on creaked abit which cause him to stop.

She had only sat down for a second or two before the floor in the hallway creaked. Kay stiffened for a moment and then tightened her grip on the handle of her tea cup. Hot tea could be a valuable weapon and distraction if it was used. She turned and then got to her feet as she saw the shadowy figure of [member="Rapax"] in the hallway.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?"

For some reason his instinct to attack [member="Lady Kay"] the moment she discovered he was here, Yet for some reason he didn't he simply moved out of the shadows to face her and simply gave a bow before his deep voice spoke. You must be Lady Kay that i have heard so much about in reports. As well as some amount from Ferus, It is quite an honor to meet you. I am curios as to how it is youv managed to calm some of our most war like sith during you many encounters with them. I can see a fragile yet strong spirited soul before me yet, I do not feel the urge to strike like I intended and i am curios as to why.

Ferus had warned her that others from the Sith would seek to assassinate her, now that she was of no use. The loss of her seat in the Senate lost her the protection that having a high rank once afforded her. And here it seemed an assassin had found his way to her newly acquired home, if that is what [member="Rapax"] was.

Kay bowed her head, but didn't relax her stance fully just yet. "Yes, I am Kay. Though how I calm some down enough to not attack is a mystery even to me. Perhaps it is that I don't talk down to them, or treat them as though they were beneath me? Perhaps it is because I give everyone respect, even if they don't deserve it? Or perhaps it is because I choose not to be aggressive with my enemies. I have hired some of you, illegally, for causes that were mutually shared. There are ways that we can coexist if people would only try to find it."
