In the curious consoles of code munchers, a network-wide message flickered across the screen:

"new_message;

message_source :// 76:998:26TX
message_designation:// ASSISTANCE

greetings: i am in search of local hands to assist me in a venture which should prove to be most satisfactory for the curiously coded minds on the fringes of this network. such is all i divulge at this time. if one is interested reach me via route 76:998:26TX."

The message was fleeting and vague in its wording, though which messages weren't in these network hubs?

Perhaps it would reach someone out there in dire need of adventure.

Allyson had just spent most of her evening yelling at raid members as they failed epically trying to kill the latest boss in her MMO. Being a healer, she was given the lovely role of keeping people alive, and obviously, they made her life harder. After several hours of smashing her head against the keyboard, the group decided to call it a night. The Corellian was rather thankful and somewhat starving. Logging off the game didn’t disconnect her from the holonet.

The message that lingered was quickly picked up by her constant scanners. Over and over again, it repeated the message with an alarm, until Allyson ran back towards the computer. An apple in her mouth, she cursed in old Corellian at the machine, wondering what was burning so far into its motherboard. She sat down and leaned forward, scanning the message. Her shiny green apple fell from her lips as her eyes widened. “Holy karkin chaos.” Fingers smashed on the LED-lit keyboard as she tried to trace everything back to its source.

Nothing was coming up, so instead, she decided to cheat a bit and force it through utilizing her skills with Mechu Deru. The message pushed its way through and ahead of anyone else that would have responded before her.

<Lucky>

Local hands idle - can help.

A quick message hopefully, she could find out what this curious message was and who it came from.

Somewhere within the recesses of artificial synapse and the processes rapidly firing in search of a response, an alert resounded:

C:\USER\H4LCY0N\new_message;

cmd_entry :// OPEN_MESSAGE}
message_source :// DX76KY:76:309
user_designation :// LUCKY

H4LCY0N almost chimed to itself at the rapid-fire response in some mimic of delight. It pressed on, interacting with its HUD to open the message, and dissected the contents once inside after turning its RAM from the hundreds of other messages to other networks across the galaxy:

Local hands idle - can help.

The artificial intelligence considered this curt response for a moment, already establishing connections through HoloNet to deduce the meaning of such a moniker. What were the possibilities? What was the origin behind such a name? Whatever it was, H4LCY0N was determined to find out. In the foreground of its memory, it scripted more code, churning out commands at breakneck efficiency.

In a blink, a batch file had been scripted, saved, and embedded within an encrypted cloud- the address of which was sent to this user, Lucky.

cmd_entry :// NEW_MESSAGE;
message_route :// DX76KY:76:309_USER('LUCKY')
message_designation :// DETAILS;
message_content :// ('greetings lucky. i thank you for your rapid response time. i have attached a cloud address, the details for this task can be found on the file within. we will chat soon. 58EX:4224:987:3003')}
send_message Y/N? :// Y
sending_message;
message_sent}

The message launched itself from H4LCY0N's quadruple encrypted network and bounced off a number of data centers before being sent out directly along the route provided. A basic test, of course, to determine if this user was the right fit for this job. There were calculated risks in opening a .bat file sent from another computer; especially when the recipient had no idea who or what the sender was.

In a moment of near humor, H4LCY0N considered if USER('LUCKY') truly was feeling lucky.
