Opportunities on Bastion

Verd Skirata

Fancy flyin' and good fightin' make for a good day
Verd Skirata flew his ship through space to Bastion. He knew he was in his own personal ship which he had changed out the transponder chips to allow him passage through almost any trouble he could run into aside from pirates which would probably do their best to kill him and salvage his ship The Jurkad Gra'avagr , his handy Beskad patrolship for any spare parts they could find.

He, as usual made it to Bastion without incident, landing on Bastion a decent distance away from any resembleance of civilization he could, and proceeded to use the terminal on his ship to search for any sign or clue of his target, [member="Vengeance"] he had heard of this particular sith and had come all this way to find the man in question, and Bastion was where his intel led.

Still wearing a suit Marcus was returning from his little under the radar trip to catch up with an old friend. His personal freighter landing at Bastion's main Starport He leisurely made his way around. The funny thing about the habits of Sith is if you were not wearing dark robes and looking menacing people tended to not recognize you.

He managed to make it all the way out of the Starport, into the city, and half way to the Temple before anyone even took a second look at him. That person it turned out was one of his troops on a long weekend. Marcus of coursed smiled and spent a few minutes talking to the man. After all he had always made it a point to keep a good working relationship with the men he sent into battle to potentially die. He even knew a great deal of their names and twice as many by face.

After the Trooper went about his way Marcus moved deeper into the Market looking at the various wares for sale.

Verd Skirata

Verd, after a decent amount of time, got a hit on his target. He was near the starport. The footage he had tagged had [member="Vengeance"] talking to another man for a short while before heading towards the market near the starport. He realized this could be his xhance, however there was no way he would go in half cocked.

Grabbing an assortment of teargas grenades, flashbangs and knockout gas canisters as well as his DC-15 baster pistol, known for its low ammunition consumption, as well as a Dl-44 and the lightsaber he had scavenged from an abandoned wreck, he hopped into his landspeeder he had stowed in his ship's cargo bay, and headed in the direction of the city.

Upon his arrival at the marketplace, he proceeded to park his speeder and walked towards the booths looking over the merchandise that was presented to him so as not to look suspicious. He was constantly doing mathematical equations in his head that related to the price of certain items and how many credits he had in his small coin pouch, so as to not make his real thoughts under the surface availiable to those who tried to read his mind.

All the while he was searching for the man in the holocam recording. His helmet's 360 degree view hud helped in this reguard as well, though it was still quite nauseating from time to time. He felt a small tug in a certain direction, and knowing that his insticts turned out to be right more often than not he gradually shifted the browsing of products to where he was wandering in that direction, stopping only when the feeling stopped he knew he was in the rigjt place it was just a matter of how long he would have to wait. He then walked over to a booth that had a fine assortment of knives and daggers and other such instruments.

" My kind of merchandise. "he said. "Can i take a look at this one?" The vendor took the knife out of the display case and handed it to Verd, who proceeded to pretend to look over it for any flaws and wether or not it was worth the price marked on the stand it was in.

Marcus stopped at a fruit stand giving the owner a smile.

"Good morning."

The man smiled and replied walking up and going into a pitch about the quality of the fruit and the various planets it had come from. Marcus only half listened to the man. A minute later picking some that looked good and holding it to get the price of it. He chuckled at the price knowing darn well he good have gotten it for cheaper a stand or two down. Instead he just paid for it and kept wandering taking a bite out of it as he did.

Not a few minutes later a passing guard grabbed his attention moving over Marcus nodded to the man.

"What can I do for you today Corporal?"

The guard mentioned something about a guy in full armor being spotted in a different section of the market. Marcus nodded.

"I assume he is not one of ours............well then let's see what he wants. Have him approached and questioned. Two should be enough. Let's not create a panic if there doesn't need to be one."

The Corporal nodded speaking into his comm unit. As he did so Marcus pulled out his own unit and called Colonel Atwall. The great thing about being a Lord was you had your own personal army always at your beckon call.

"Colonel have a squad swing by the North entrance to the market square and a second squad on standby on the North East side. Have them rally and sit tight pending further orders."

Marcus didn't know who this armored man was but apparently his appearance was enough to raise the suspicions of the troops guarding the city. It was enough to make him curious. Plus despite the saber concealed on his body Marcus was not equipped for a confrontation so it never hurt to have back up. That and he much rather get into fights away from populated areas so hopefully their visitor was of the complying type.

Verd Skirata

Fancy flyin' and good fightin' make for a good day
Verd Skirata had seen the city's guard regiment walking by more and more frequently each time they passed the man in his mandalorian armor they would glance in his direction. Soon they stopped passing by all together. He still looking at the nice assortment of weaponry and tools laid out before him, took his helmet off and fastened it to the clip on his utility belt. He had hoped he would have run into his mark by now, and had a feeling that something had changed. He had found a nice slightly decorated, but still very practical blade which he purchased and promptly placed it into position on his belt. He turned around, to look for another booth to arouse, but instead turned directly into two men that had approached him.

"Can I help you?" Verd asked in a tone he thought would have been menacing and got into a stance that allowed himself to more easily defend himself if he was attacked. He hadn't come this far in life by being unprepared.

The two guards standing only a foot or two apart from each other didn't seem to bothered at all by the tone of the man's voice. The one on the left speaking.

"Sir I need you to come with me please. The Captain wants a word."

The two guards turned inward and took a step back to let Verd pass between them. One would take an additional step back and to the side making it to where Verd would be walking between them following one but walking in front of the other. They were of course assuming the man's compliance.

At the edge of the scare Marcus had the Guard Captain waited to here back from the two guards of two see them approaching. Marcus appeared to be much calmer than the Captain did. A chirp from his comm letting him know that the first of two squads was in position should they be needed. The other one would hopefully be in position in another minute or two.

The Captain kept giving Marcus concerned looks. After all he had heard Marcus speaking to the Colonel not a few minutes earlier. Marcus shook his head not offering anything to the Guard Captain.

Verd Skirata

"What is the meaning of this intrusion to my day?" Verd said knowing very well that he, being dressed in full mandalorian beskargam had caused some people to feel slightly uncomfortable. He wanted to see how the two men would respond. Though after seeing their reaction, he agreed to go with them, not because they had threatened him, but because the insignia they wore on their uniforms said enough for him to descern he had indeed attracted the attention of the man whom he sought. He took a step forward and allowed the two men to lead him out of the marketplace. He had no quarrel with the citizens or innocents of this place, so why make it harder on them? He paid close attention to all of his surroundings, and decided to slowly don his helmet again. This way he allowed himself to have his 360 degree vision once more. There would be no suprises for him today. Well none that could be avoided. He was on his way to [member="Vengeance"] and his personal army would take him more than likely directly to the man in question

The two guards said very little having already given up what little they knew about the situation. They weaved their way through the crowds for a few minutes Up ahead the Guard Captain and a man in a suit standing beside him would become visible. The Captain obviously doing various coordinating of the city guard. The man in the suit seemingly focused only on the direction the three men would most likely be coming from. As soon as the arrived it would be the man in the suit and not the Captain that spoke.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Marcus looked up as the three men approached. His face giving away nothing even as he spoke.

"I wasn't aware we were expecting Mandalorian visitors today. Since your people didn't send any advanced word and you appear to be ready for battle I have to ask. What brings you to Bastion?"

The Guard Captain however looked calm but slightly at ease in front of the armored Mandalorian. It was clear however that the man in the suit was in charge and would be makign the call one way or another.
