The Red of Sinner
Battle Sister
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Sort of a crazy idea, Aedan Miles bet Romeo he could not come up with a way to create a launch an outpost from orbit to a planet. Well, Aedan now owns Romeo credits as he was able to easily do it. Impervium insures that the outpost and extensions make to the planet surface without being melted or destroyed, with the repulsorlifts make moving each piece easy. However, once launched, the outpost can not be retrieved or moved. Moving each piece until all connected can take a while as the repulsorlifts are only strong enough to keep it floating reliably, not quickly. The walls of each outpost and extension are not terribly thick, missiles can easily penetrate them. Each outpost is able to be customized fully to one's standard, shield generator? It can be attached. Defense turrets? Done. Radar dishes, more extensions, the list goes on and probably doesnt really stop. Each outpost is capable of having thicker plating shields attached to its walls for better protection. The concept of the Orbital Drop Post is essentially the same as Drop Pods but on a large scale. It can be assumed that whatever ship is carrying this, and some of it's extensions are probably only there for this one single role but that is not always the case. Large ships (i.e. Star Destroyers, Battlecruisers) can easily carry them no problem and assume other roles within a fleet.
- Intent: To create a outpost that can be sent from a ship to a planet from orbit

- Canon Link: n/a
- Permissions: n/a
- Primary Source: n/a
- Manufacturer: Shadow Protectorate
- Affiliation: Closed Market
- Model: ODP-o1
- Modularity: Can come as a bundle, tunnels and extensions can be added. Radar dishes, computers and the works can be attached as well as turrets, generators and more. Thicker armor platting can be attached to the walls as well for more protection.
- Production: Minor
- Material: Impervium
- Extensions can be added such as hallways, and extra rooms
- Repulsarlifts
- Capable of being launched along with extensions to a planet from orbit by a ship to create a commando post
- Repulsorlift allows for easy but slow moving of the outpost until all extensions are connected and it's ready for deployment
- Slow moving
- While Impervium is a strong alloy, the walls of each outpost and extension are thinner than normal allowing missiles to easily destroy them.
- Once launched from a ship, that's it. It can not be retrieved.
