ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Research Vessel: This vessel excels at anything and everything science. It is fully equipped with all necessities to conduct any forms of research requirements throughout the galaxy.
  • Speed: The 6 Ion engines at the rear of the cruiser allows the vessel to reach surprisingly high levels of speed.
  • Hacking & EMP Security: The vessel has both Socketguard and Cap Drain Systems which both offer a layer of protection against being hacked and having the entire electrical system go down.
WEAKNESSES
  • Firepower: This is a research vessel, not an assault vessel. Therefore it does not carry a lot of firepower compared to other cruisers.
  • Crew Size: Due to the amount of area required to fill the research capabilities, there is less accommodation meaning less crew and security forces that can be on-board the ship compared to other ships.
DESCRIPTION
After a considerable lack of time that the Sith-Imperial Science Bureau had no fully-purposed, dedicated vessel of their own the idea was sprung that obtaining research vessels would vastly improve their research and development capabilities. This eventually came into light as the "Orias-Class Research Cruiser." A fully purposed science vessel that had good defences and research capability. The only drawback being the lack of armaments.

The cruiser is around half the size of an Imperial I-Class Star Destroyer and can carry a compliment of around 14,000 crew members, 3,200 Legionaries and a small amount of guests who join an expedition. It also comes equipped with a whole plethora of science equipment, facilities and various systems as well as other standard systems. The cruiser can carry around 36 fighters for protection with around 12 shuttles for expedition work.
