Arrbi Betna
Marauder
Intent: To create a set of armor designed for the Ori'edee that can protect them as best as possible while allowing the creatures to do the task assigned to them.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Mandal Hypernautics
Model: Ori'edee Beskar'kandar
Affiliation: Mandalorian Protectors
Modularity: Yes, there are three variants made: Armed, Medical/Transport, and Shield (the standard shield generator can be swapped out, but can only be replaced by a shield generator that is considered a mobile generator). Outside of these variants, the armor is fitted to the creature itself and can be adorned with cosmetic changes such as spikes, chains, color, etc.
Production: Limited
Material: Beskar, beskar armorweave, leather, and other barding/war elephant materials.
Classification: general purpose
Weight: ~200kg
Quality: Class 10 (armor plates), Class 7 (underbelly and feet)
Special Features:
After the creation and success of the bev'uliik beskar'kandar and the application of the bev'uliik to mounted warfare, the giant Ori'edee was deemed to also be capable of a role in warfare. Armored similarly to the bev'uliik, the giant, hairy beast was clad in heavy beskar plating. As the underbelly and feet suffered the same problems the bev'uliik had see with their armor, a similar solution was put in place. Now fully armored, the Ori'edee could march into battle and shrug off all but the most devastating attacks.
However, as the Ori'edee was so large and ponderous, it was determined that to use en masse would be impossible, much less as a completely offensive unit. Instead, the Ori'edee in use were trained to ignore the loud noises and cacophony of war so as to remain calm. They were then mounted with back-mounted platforms capable of carrying out a specific role. There are three available platforms for the Ori'edee Beskar'kandar.
Weapon Platform
Kitted out with four .52 caliber Hyperion Support Automatic Weapons with armored gun shields, a pair of MT-40G Automatic Grenade Launchers with gun shields, and a dual linked heavy blaster cannon with gun shield, the weapon platform is designed to march behind the troops to provide a great deal of fire support against the enemy. Aside from the gun shields on the weapons, the crews are exposed to enemy fire. While not normally a concern for Mandalorians, heavier weapons can be a problem for the gun crews. Also, damage to the dual blaster cannon's power coupling can cause rather explosive problems for all on board.

Armament:
Medical/Transport Platform
Essentially an open platform with a low gun shield (about waist high) around the sides, this platform is designed to ferry troops and equipment to the front and bring the wounded back to the rear. This platform has no weapons aside from what the troops on board bring and is equipped with a pair of small winch cranes to lift the wounded or supplies onto and off of the platform with ease and comfort. Mountings exist behind the gun shield for medical equipment when needed, though these are not common and are seen more with more specialized, field hospital variants. For supplies, there are tie downs behind the gun shield for line or rope. Infantry loading on and off of the platform are to use the rope ladders and lines along the sides of the platform, or to climb down manually from the platform using any hand/foot holds they can find.

Shield Platform
Similar to the transport platform, the Shield platform is a simple, flat space with a waist-high gun shield. In the center of the platform is a shield generator capable of producing a deflector shield in a dome shape 45m in diameter. The generator has enough power for about 12 hours of use or 6 hours of heavy use. As the generator that comes standard produces a great deal of heat, the platform is left open topped to allow air cooling instead of adding the weight of a cooling system. This prevents the shield generator from overheating, but leaves the mechanisms exposed to incoming fire. The shield generator requires a crew of 2-4 operators plus the Ori'edee's handler.

The downsides are pretty simple for the armor. The plating is heavy and cumbersome, leaving the animal slow to move. The underbelly and feet of the beast are vulnerable to attack and, along with the overall weight of the armor and platform, these creatures aren't able to easily charge, move quickly, or turn very well. In essence, they're a support platform rather than an assault beast.
