Original Proposal (subject to change)

Initial proposition, edits to follow as we incorporate Vong and Zonoma Sekot

Plot Outline:

The event of the Netherworld, or the Great Disappearance, left as many questions as it did answers. As the universe continued on, rebuilding and attempting to prosper, life budded elsewhere and with far more malicious intent.

In the deep reaches of space and on Zonoma Sekot, a small population of Terentatek festered with renewed vigor - due in large part to the Darkside of the Force, manipulated during the Netherworld. A small tribe of fanatic Vong, with the help of an unknown Broker who assumes role of Supreme Overlord, began working as The Cult of the Terentatek. Through experiments similar to the dogmatic processes of shaping, these Terentateks were changed and modified and made stronger. Unknowingly achieving a level of sentience within the beasts, The Cult of the Terentatek moved against all force users to destroy the sentient connection to the force altogether.

Worlds begin to report invasions, though the descriptions sounded more like ominous storms than an influx of fleets. Worlds were plunged into utter darkness as monstrous and diverse arrays of Terentatak were released, taking to feasting on the force sensitives of the population. Planetary force sensitive populations are decimated and by all accounts, the beasts are unstoppable. That is...until their sentience is fully realized.

Those who aren't found to be force sensitive are assimilated into the Cult of the Terentatek, swelling their ranks with the loyal and devoted - though some would call them enthralled. Entire species are wiped away in the melting pot that is the Cult of the Terentatek. No longer is race or creed important. A simple question is presented: Are you force sensitive...or are you not? And while the Vong reign far above their enslaved, the captured are forced to do their bidding.

Plots Notes:

This would be a relatively original concept, I think. It would effectively be a role reversal of The Great Hunt. Force users wouldn't be pitted against one another but, in fact, potentially forced to work together in order to survive. As I wrote this out, it started to have a very Necromonger feel to it (though the assimilation component can easily be removed).

Stories:

The plot, as far as the memberbase goes, would begin roughly one month before invasion. Upon completion of a map update, by [member="Cira"], it will be revealed that not only has Zonoma Sekot moved, but it is now controlled by a faction labeled as "???" Between this update and the next, we begin to disseminate information in the form of holonet articles and small threads by Staff Alts. It's in these areas that we give obscure details about the planets being invaded by another celestial body, ancient force temples being utterly destroyed, and the force dying on the invaded planets. We also will secretly vet and approve event based entries (Sekot seed planes, new terentatek, etc).

Following the second map update, Zonoma Sekot will appear within the domain of a major faction (OS, GR, GA, SCC, Mando). The day after, the Major Faction advertisement will be posted in the form of an advertisement or holonet article and the invasion thread will begin, lasting for 1 - 2 weeks. At this time, any one who so desires to make an alt may do so and join the invading force. Invasion rules will be suspended, in terms of negotiations and potentially ally rules, and should the Major Faction lose, they will lose the entirety of their hex (wherein it can be reclaimed with a 75 post dominion within the time frame of the event). Following this, another map update will be generated, Zonoma Sekot will appear near another planet, and they will invade again. I can see this happening three times before completing the cycle.

At the end, the threat would be destroyed as the new Terentatek are discovered to be the true propagators of the attack against the force users. With the help of the board, the new faction (dubbed the Horde or the Blessed Cult), will destroy the threat and Zonoma Sekot will disappear into the nethers (to potentially be rediscovered by Akala). Depending on how the board takes the new faction, certain land rights will be granted based on performance during the event and the rights to the faction will be handed over to the board. Chaos is left with a new faction, leaderless, and several new awards such as biotech and creations.

Name:

Well, I can provide a few but I don't really care either way:
-The Great Hunt
-Netherworld: The Rise of the Terentatek
-Netherworld: The Blessed Cult
-Call of Sekot
-The Cult of Sekot

Staff Responsibilities:

Dming threads, NPCing cult members, NPCing the Leader of the cult, overseeing the approval/writing of codex/factory subs, creating the faction advertisement, creating holonet articles, taking leader for small threads during the 1 month build up, etc.

I'd say one week for each thread, keep them short and sharp. Attention spans seem to be very low. All of the last three events saw sharp drops in activity for any given thread beyond a week.
