  Pavonds stand together and never give up. Less so a family motto and more so a testament to the Pavond name. No action of theirs ever failed to be less than their best. Especially when and where it mattered most. And, if they ever failed in that endeavor, the Pavonds always made amends.
  
  Older cousin to Shan Pavond, Orion grew up with these principles although he took a more liberal approach to these teachings. His way of handling misfortune and handing out good fortune differed in that his means were often less-than-ethical yet morally upright, if such a balance could be achieved. Always the trickster and independent sort, Orion Pavond handled problems life through his way with a cheap trick, a cheesy one-liner, and a carefree smile.
  
  The man held onto a way about him that did not quite fit into a preconceived category, even when he was invited and accepted into the New Jedi Order. His time spent on Nar Shaddaa among its people and dangerous streets ensured that Orion never quite fit in with the rest of the Initiates and Padawans his age.
  
  Instead, Orion found himself drawn to the older and wiser Jedi Knights and Masters. The ones that had lived the longest. The ones that were more loose with the rules and had the experience to support that way of living.
