Description:
The Ori'shuk Bullet was designed for one thing and one thing only: Lethality. The bullet is available in most pistol calibers and can easily be fired from any slug thrower pistol, provided the round is of the proper caliber. The Ori'shuk is designed to cause the maximum amount of damage possible to the target.
On impact, the bullet breaks apart along the pre-cut lines. This sends the eight, small fragments set around the bullet tumbling through the target's body, forming a rough circular pattern. The base of the bullet continues onwards with minimal tumbling through the target's body. The end result is that the target's internal organs, muscles, bones, and biological tissues are pulped and shredded entirely. This causes immediate hemorrhaging, massive trauma, and severe shock to the target. The amount of damage the Ori'shuk bullet causes is at least two to three times more lethal than a standard hollow-point bullet.
The round does have its downsides, however. The bullet is designed to be used on unarmored targets and, as such, the bullet has poor penetration against armor, often performing worse than hollow-points in range testing. Also, the bullet has been found to be too frail for use in blaster/slug thrower hybrid weapons and tests have found that Ori'shuk bullets break apart in the barrel as the hybrid weapons attempt to ionize the bullet as it is fired. Lastly, the Ori'shuk is a bit more expensive than typical hollow-point bullets, meaning that the more you have, the more expensive the purchase was.
Otherwise, the bullet has little to no effect on standard ranges, trajectories, recoil, etc. of the weapons it is fired from.
