- Hutt Ownership: The Ornament of Monkrave can only be worn by a member of the hutt species; as it was specifically designed to empower those of the species by its creator. The Hutt Warlord; Monkrave the Despoiler, who crafted the item to empower himself and bring about a golden age of the hutt civilization. As a defense mechanism; anyone who wasn't a member of his species will die a horrible death if they attempted to use the item and be devoured by their peers as its corrupting influence drives people to want it.
- Energy Protection: The Blue Orb that resides permanently inside the Ornament of Monkrave protects its wearer from all types of energy attacks; as it generates a shield around them that disperses the energy. Allowing its holder to survive in the midst of battle and escape unharmed by an enemy who has energy weaponry. Although the ornament will lose its energy protection clause; once the wearer has taken a major amount of damage over time and will require a long recharge time to restore it to full power again.
- Command & Conquest: The Ornament of Monkrave allows its wearer to rally their troops and command their followers as one solid unit against their enemies. Allowing the wearer to increase the morale of their men that they command allowing them to march forward without fear of death. It also provides the allied forces a boost in morale that they will gladly go to their deaths as if they have a purpose to die; overcoming their will for self preservation that all humans and species naturally have in the end to preserve their civilization.
- Projectile Vulnerability: The Ornament of Monkrave provides the wearer with energy protection of all kinds; but it will provide no protection from physical projectiles that are thrown its way. Leaving the wearer vulnerable to slugthrowers and other physical projectiles that the enemy might have on the battlefield. Unusual for such an artifact is that it will increase the damage of the projectile as it enters into the energy shield and deal more damage to its wearer than normal projectiles would have. A dangerous side effect for those that command their troops on the battlefield; as they could die from pain at any moment if the enemy has those kinds of projectiles at their disposal.
- Sluggish & Lazy: While the Ornament of Monkrave gives the wearer many benefits to them; it also makes them lazy and unmotivated to do anything that they don't necessarily have to. They will order their men to feed them and do other task for them that they didn't sign up to do when they joined the organization and might cause resentment. The wearer of this item will hide themselves away in seclusion and give orders from the shadows; as the device drives them to the brink of insanity and they believe that enemies are all around them or nonexistent enemies are plotting their revenge. Although the device will not impair their rational thought on the battlefield; if they are motivated enough to join the battle in the first place and command, the reason for this is that the Hutt Warlord who had created the item; was on the battlefield at all times trying to conquer as much territory as possible for his kajidic and to expand his criminal empire. So he designed this curse to force the wearer; also to follow in his slug steps and engage in never ending conflict.
- Command Crumbles: While the Ornament of Monkrave provides a big bonus to command structure on the battlefield; but things can quickly go south at a very fast pace. The forces under the strength will be driven only by the hand of the commander to push forward; if the wearer of the device is knocked unconscious or is killed on the battlefield in some form. The forces under their command will quickly crumble and retreat even if they hold the advantage over the enemy. A daily combination of the game; cat and mouse will be played for this device and it is ruthless in extracting what it desires from its host as designed by its crafter; an already power hungry and insane individual.
The Ornament of Monkrave was crafted by the Ancient Hutt Warlord and Sith Alchemist; Monkrave the Despoiler. Born as Monkrave Mancheron Boggurobb on the throneworld of the Mancheron Kajidic; Kor Mancheron in the Garden of the Hutts. Young Monkrave was taken into the sith order during the reign of the Sith Emperor Vitiate with permission by the Hutt Ruling Council to begin training so that they could use his abilities for their own benefits and would boost the power of the hutt cartel's as a whole. Disliked by his peers for being a hutt; who many sith despised even more than other species for their greed and untrustworthiness. As figured; Monkrave had little friends in the sith academy on korriban from the minute he arrived. With his sith sorcerer overseer being an extreme xenophobic; the young hutt had little chance to succeed in the power structure of the sith order. Having grown tired of spending time clearing k'lor'slug hives in the tombs of korriban as his 'assignment' by his sith overseer; he would finally be able to do something when a prominent sith sorcerer named 'Lord Karon' noticed his abilities and decided to train the huttlet to hone his abilities in the force. Lord Karon would show the huttlet; his vast collection of sith knowledge that he had acquired with the permission of the Dark Council of the Sith Empire; the knowledge that he had was worthless in their eyes so they decided to allow him to keep it for himself to study off of. Monkrave would pour himself into the dark manuscripts and other dark side artifacts that his lord had collected; and begin to study with limited success because he couldn't read the mostly sith language on them. Lord Karon would pull him away from study to begin his training with a lightsaber and practice using his force abilities. As expected; Monkrave was not skilled at all with his lightsaber and lost many times to Lord Karon, who himself didn't extend any effort in beating the young hutt due to his superior experience in the ways of the force. Knowing that monkrave's talents didn't lie with the lightsaber; but with the raw power of the force itself. Lord Karon would begin to teach Monkrave about the subject of sith magic and alchemy; to which the hutt grew a quick mastery at. This surprised his teacher and fearing that he might be replaced due to his appretenie's knowledge rivaling his own. Lord Karon would attempt to kill the Hutt through a kaggath; recognized by the dark council per protocol. The duel was intense with the hutts quick mastery of sith alchemy vs the knowledge held by his teacher; although almost killed by the encounter, Monkrave survived the attempt on his life and ate the body of his teacher with immense joy. Knowing that the sith order would never allow him to reach his full power, Lord Monkrave has he was known now after the kaggath would steal all the knowledge his teacher had collected and flee back to hutt space with the full protection of the Hutt Cartel's Ruling Council; knowing that to invade the hutt and their domain was folly. The Sith Empire didn't attempt to track him down or kill him; as they had other things to worry about such as trying to full fill the Sith Emperor's Grand Plan. Back in hutt space; Lord Monkrave would use his mastery of alchemy to forge the 'Ornament of Monkrave' as his last defining moment; taking the name of Monkrave the Despoiler; The Hutt Warlord would begin to challenge those around him; taking down multiple cartels and adding them into his ever growing expanding empire of crime and misfortune. Using his war mace in combat combined with his alchemy enhanced hutt armor; he would begin to wage a crusade of eternal war with the hutts and the other factions in the galaxy at the time to grow his ever expanding emotion of greed and drive for influence. Battling many jedi and sith along the way; it would take a final battle between the hutt cartel; republic; and sith empire vs Monkrave's Forces to finally bring him down into the grave and buried deep in a vault on Kor Mancheron by his fellow kajidic members, the artifact was presumed lost but Monkrave in one last attempt to win the day vs this alliance had used up most of its reserve power to destroy a portion of his enemy's line. The artifact now depowered enough to look like a normal rock due to its and monkrave shared connection; would be mistakenly buried along side him in the vault and has laid their ever since. Until the Young Paranoda Mancheron Boggurobb discovered the vault by accident when mining for ore on his homeworld; and had kept the depowered artifact with him underneath his throne in a secret compartment. Now 900 Hundred Years Old; Paranoda is looking to reactivate the power within to help him expand his food empire but he will not accomplish this effort as the secrets to reactivate it as been lost.; now only making it a decorative item.
