Strengths:
  1. The metal is flexible and malleable like ciridium, allowing for plates to move freely
  2. Ease of movement provides an illusion of vulnerability
  3. Able to survive glancing or light strikes from the weapon, albeit with deep heat scoring and furrows carved into the metal
Weaknesses:
  1. Blunt force will bend, and if hard enough break the phiridum discs.
  2. The shimmersilk must be carefully cared for or it will tear.)
Description: This is a lightweight vest made of shimmersik and phiridum, the pants are 100% shimmersilk and provide no protection. Any shirt can be worn beneath the vest. The vest is meant to give small protection to vital organs. It is deceptive in design that it looks like any other vest that a woman would wear out, or to a function. The problem is however while it might protect from shrapnel if near a blast, it would not do well should an attack be any weapon that would hit the metal discs.

Claire was trying to find new ways to innovate her company line to find something that would go with the lines she offered and yet would be unique. It was when she was watching a couture showing that it came to her that she could try to design clothing using metals that could be altered into thread, or small discs adhered to a luxury cloth such as shimmersilk. Phiridium was readily available on Aldera and was not quite as difficult to work with as the phrik of Alderaan and offered properties that could be used for the line of items she had in mind.

She set about working on preliminary designs these first offerings are part of a test group to see if there is interst from her current clients, and from recent contacts made in the fashion industry.
