One Sith News: April Edition!
Discussion has occurred between the One Sith Admins over the position of Emperors Voice and Hand. In order to ensure the health of the One Sith faction, and to allow the opportunity of new sith to prove themselves to the Dark Lord, the Voice and Hand positions will be henceforth maintained by steady and proactive IC activity in faction threads, invasions, and dominions, as well as all around activity.
The need for this is to ensure that everyone in the One Sith has an equal opportunity to potentially take on the role of a Voice and Hand if one is ambitious enough. And to promote that, steady IC activity will be required of the positions in order to retain said position. The way this will be measured is through the direct activity of those in the position of Voice, Hand, or other unique hiearchy ranks. This activity will be required in the form of a major, monthly project for the OS Faction. This project can be a leading of dominion of a world, significant work on alliances (IC), building up defenses of a OS planet, doing a mass training thread, etc.
We wish to keep this vague but would in turn ask you: What do you think should be the activities of a Voice or Hand, in reference to the faction? We'll be the judge, but I think everyone has a good idea of it. And that being said, just because you are working on a project - it doesn't mean you shouldn't do additional stuff. We are an active Faction, and Leadership should be actively involved in it.
Please feel free to use the Faction Events sub forum, to coordinate your activities. Additionally, every voice will be required to take on a co-voice, assistant to the voice, voice of the voice, however you want to call it: An acolyte or knight with the purpose of assisting them develop towards sector control.
We understand that some people have OOC responsibilities and appreciate that. However, there comes a time when we must consider the progress of the faction first and foremost. We do this for the prime reason that we wish to promote a sense that these positions put the goals of the One Sith first, above all else. And with new blood constantly flowing in, there should be an opportunity for persistent reward for those that go above and beyond.
We are not inclined to constantly just increase the number of hands or voices, as we feel this dilutes the significance of this position instead of emphasizing it.
