• Slow Hyperdrive: The Arch-Angel is designed to be launched within a star system by a larger ship. As such, it carries a very slow, emergency backup hyperdrive to be used in case of emergencies.
• Inefficient Fuel Economy: Because of the power requirements needed for the Arch-Angel's increased shielding and armament, the ship consumes fuel at nearly twice the rate of other dropships used by the Silver Navy. This makes operating it for long periods of time expensive and difficult.
• Easy to spot: The Arch-Angel boasts a very high sensor echo for a ship of its size, this is due to the extensive power consumption and output of the dropship's various advanced systems. As such, it is easy to spot on sensors from both the air and the ground, making it an easy target for enemy interceptors and anti-aircraft fire.

DESCRIPTION

The OSA-03 "Arch-Angel" Heavy Dropship was designed to deliver a platoon sized infantry unit to a battlefield in situations when heavy enemy resistance is expected. It boasts increased armaments and defenses, which allow it to use its weapons to clear potentially hostile landing zones and disembark its troops before returning to the air to support the ground forces in a gunship capacity. It was conceived of as an alternative to the lighter dropships currently in use by the Silver Navy. Due to the increased power consumption of the Arch-Angel's weapons and defensive systems, it is difficult to hide on sensors and is not recommended for operations where stealthy infiltration or ex-filtration is required.
