- Heavily armored: The Adamant Class Heavy Cruiser has exceptionally heavy durasteel reinforced armor with ablative coating as well as several large shield generators capable of generating a deflector shield with a strength generally found on much larger ships. In addition, the Adamant heavy cruiser employs an extensive net of micro-laser point defense cannons.
- Low Hangar Space: The Adamant class heavy cruiser was designed to act as an screen for larger and/or more fragile craft. It is not meant to conduct operations on its own, and as such carries only a single squadron of fighter craft as a screen. Adamant Heavy Cruisers that find themselves cut off from the rest of their fleet/battlegroup may quickly find themselves overwhelmed by enemy fighter and bombers.
The Adamant Class Heavy Cruiser is designed to act as a screen for larger or more fragile ships in the Silver Fleet. It is armored with super-heavy reinforced durasteel with a thick ablative coating, several powerful shield emitters capable of generating a powerful deflector shield and an extensive point defense system. It trades these advantages with unremarkable speed, maneuverability and armament and only a single squadron of fighters to act as a screen against incoming fighter craft and bombers.
