OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a nano-droid capable, in large numbers, of effecting injury repair at the molecular level or acting as antibodies against viral, bacterial or fungal infections.
  • Canon Link: Nano-droid
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: First Degree
  • Weight: Extremely Light
  • Height: Extremely Small
  • Movement: Quadrupedal
  • Armaments: None
  • Misc. Equipment:
  • Resistances (Optional):
    • Energy (And other Blaster type weapons): None
    • Kinetic: None
    • Lightsabers: None
    • Other: None
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The droids are able to perform extensive trauma repairs to damaged tissues on the molecular level. They can be programmed to treat:
    • Full and partial thickness burns
    • Radiation burns and associated sicknesses
    • Cuts and bruises
    • Some internal injuries (internal bleeding, lacerations and contusions)
    • Fractures (they can mend the bones, but bones will still need to be set before they are administered, otherwise the bones may heal incorrectly)
    • They can also be programmed to fight most kinds of infections, acting as leukocytes and attacking foreign bodies
  • The droids need to be pre-programmed with a set of specific instructions before being injected, this is not a cure-all and may require extensive diagnostic work on the patient before use
  • Droids become inert following the end of their programming and are removed from the body via the lymphatic system
STRENGTHS
  • Able to treat a variety of injuries/illnesses quickly
WEAKNESSES
  • Requires pre-programming before injection
  • Pre-programming requirement necessitates knowledge of the condition prior to injection
  • ION/EMP fields will render the droids inoperable
  • This is a small, but statically significant (approximately 15%), possibility that the patient will have a severe immune response to the introduction of the droids. Droids are not recommended for use on immunocompromised individuals or beings with chronic auto-immune disorders
DESCRIPTION

Sometimes a bacta patch just isn't enough. Created out of a need for an alternate mode of treatment in situations where complex medical interventions are not available, the OSB-03 Series Nano-Molecular Repair Droids are a molecular sized droid capable of perform a number of medical functions in conjunction with other droids. They can be used to treat many types of surface and internal injuries as well as fight infections and prevent or repair radiation sickness. Because of their size, their programming is limited to a pre-selected treatment protocol that must be set prior to injection. This requires that the medical practitioner have a good working knowledge of the patients immediate diagnosis, as well as any conditions secondary to it.

Very nice and useful technology, good job! However in the intent you mentioned this is nano-droid, later you mentioned only mciro-droids. However the micro-droids are too large to make molecular level constructions, this is nano level. So if you change the productio level to minor or limited which is accepted for nanotechnology, I'll happy to accept the submission.

Good catch! Replaced the word micro for the more accurate nano. Reduced production rating to Minor. Should be good to go! :D
