Our New Enemy - The Children of Darzu

We've had a lot of fun in the past with protracted campaigns against the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium, the Sorcerers of Rhand, and other major NPC enemies from the Unknown Regions. After a long talk between our faction leaders and many of our members, we concluded that we need a new challenge, and we were able to come together on something that should maximize opportunities for the entire faction.

Presenting the Children of Darzu, the latest overwhelming enemy boiling out of uncharted space. Nanobot infections, Force/tech hive overmind, assimilation, cyborgs, Clockwork flashbacks, lobotomies, the Borg meets the Flood...

Resistance better not be futile, or we're gonna have words.

Stay tuned for faction threads involving the Children of Darzu, and feel free to involve them in whatever threads you're doing anyway. A training mission becomes an investigation or a run for your lives; an exploration thread uncovers something it shouldn't; do what you like.

That reminds me - just a note for all the mechu-deru types - while things like splitting off drones from the hive mind, analyzing/reverse engineering them, maybe making antidotes or reversing transformations, are all on the table as things to work towards, these particular technobeasts have a pretty hefty overmind behind them, so wide-scale control and easy solutions aren't on the table for this faction event.

Hmm... this will certainly be interesting for me in particular... being as I am a member of a strain of technobeast. So you could say that I am a Child of Neth (Or a Child of Talith depending on how one looks at it).

Does the Fringe know of the Resu and Sol's other creations as being friendlies? Or has that yet to be established IC?

Might be fun to be attacked by a few Fringers mistaking me as a Child of Darzu, before things are cleared up.
