Hey guys,
It sucks to say this but for those who know about my life, my parents recently moved to Haiti as they've been involved in numerous charitable causes down there, and wanted to focus their lives on helping the people. Unfortunately a few happenings are occurring there and in the rest of my family...
Currently the Haitian president stepped down, and the country has been having riots regarding the situation. Then my mother contracted the Zika Virus -- which has been going around lately -- which although not life-threatening, has resulted in a lot of social stigma because if transferred to pregnant women can cause the babies to have birth defects, or potentially worse.
That amongst other things are causing my parents to reconsider, and puts a lot of load on my in real life as their child. I think it'd be unfair of me to dedicate myself to something I haven' the time or willpower to do when I have more important matters to attend. I will be stepping down in the future. Before that, I think we should discuss what's next before I announce the news.
I'll also be taking an indefinite LOA from the board.
