Out of My Comfort Zone

13:40

Shri Tal

Tamara walked through the Silver Sanctum estate, rubbing the side of her arm, looking at the other Jedi in the passageways. No matter how safe this place was with all the Jedi walking about, and no matter how far into allied territory she was in, she always felt uneasy. She never been here before, and the planet was certainly very beautiful, but she had no clue as to what dangers could present itself. Whats worse was the fact that she was going to meet someone who might potentially become her master.

She has never had an opportunity like this, and now more than ever she was determined to prove herself as a great student, but she was also very nervous and fearful of messing up, ruining one of chances to progress as a Jedi. She has been waiting to be put under the wing of a master, someone who could teach her how to be a proper Jedi. Being a Jedi was one of her only goals in life. She didn't know better, and having an opportunity like this was likely to be life changing for her.

She ended up at the door taking her into the master's lab. Her hands were shaking and she was beginning to sweat a bit, despite feeling incredibly cold. She slowly raised her hand and knocked on the door and patiently waited outside, staring down at her feet while she wondered what the woman on the other side would be like.

The Aoi house was a wonderful place but it was mostly like a house on the surface. Shri-Tal was ancient and had been home to a civilization that pre-dated the Republic tens of thousands of years as they were working on things. So their construction under the world deep into its heart was what drove the jedi to repurpose it. Instead of building something massive on the surface but underneath there was five kilometers of tunnels intertwining and descending under the lake where all of them worked with the new reconstruction efforts. Matsu was down there working in the one large cavern as she worked with the synthweaving looms to construct and work on the meshed equipment. it was design to be used in any number of things they had that would give them a level of protection. There was a new padawan coming to meet her and she had left instructions while working on the machine and equipment the jedi were designing for themselves.

Tamara eventually opened the door that lead into the cavern, seeing as nobody was answering. The underground area appeared so much larger than on the surface. It was quite amazing to see. Her curiosity was quite piqued, so maybe she could have a look around later. Just to get a feel for the place and maybe get a bit more comfortable knowing what kind of place she was in. For now she would walk around to find where Master Ike was, and surely enough, Tamara found her.

She tried to calm herself and fiddled with her fingers behind her back, whilst continuing to stare down at her feet,"Hello? Master Ike?" The poor little Jedi probably butchered her name,"I'm Tamara"

Matsu perked up at the mention of her own name and looked around in her seat as it had been so quiet and she had been focused on the synthweaving of the mesh into robes for some of the jedi. she was finishing up. "Yes padawan Umari?" Matsu said it hopping off the small seat for the loom but showed how small of a jedi master she was still unable to reach the floor itself when she was sitting down and straightened her robes that gleamed from the special mesh underlay they had crafted for themselves. "I was just finishing up some of the new equipment and am glad to see you here." She removed it and working on it tidying up as the robe itself looked like a normal jedi robe save it throbbed and pulsed with the lightside of the force to a degree few other things could match. "We have been so busy with some of the new discoveries."

Tamara was very nervous up until the point when Matsu got off her seat, and then was able to see how short she was. The padawan even managed to crack a tiny grin. She herself was considered quite shortish, but now it seems it's the other way around. The grin on her face didn't stay however, because short people are actually quite intimating. Have you seen those mob bosses? Master Matsu certainly looked like one. She looked as she would cut the girls tongue out if she dared to even laugh, and thus Tamara kept quiet.

"We have been so busy with some of the new discoveries."

Master Matsu seemed quite chilled out about everything, to put it plainly, and this calmed the much younger woman down to some degree,"Oh really...I don't know much about this place... a lot seems to be going on"

"Yes we work on a lot of things here, my labs are one of the main supliers for equipment and robes throughout the orders." Well the ones who needed them and the Silver sanctum housed most of her equipment when she was making new things. The robed mesh that she was wearing and had for the others with all of the work they had been putting into it gave the jedi master some of the different things they could work with when she arrived down into the one room. "These are the barracks for the padawans that we developed for all of you." A small look on her face when she was going over a couple of the things. "Do you have any requests for what kind of lessons you would like to learn?"

Tamara followed Master Matsu down to her new quarters. It was kind of strange that it was referred to as a barracks. It sounded like she was a soldier or something. She probably was going to be anyways, but this wasn't something she wanted to think about, for now Matsu wanted to know what training she was interested in. She was glad to be given a choice, as she came in here thinking she was going to learn whatever the master wanted her to learn, but then again the padawan didn't have a clue about what to ask for.

"Um..." Tamara thought for awhile about this,"Well I don't really know...what ever I need to use to pass my Trials"

Whatever to pass the trials.... That was a very open statement while matsu was looking at her and providing a small loo she turned over with some of her attention. "Well then I have a few ideas of what we can do with it, there might be a couple of the stronger ideas as she moved over and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Then we shall train you, come we'll head up to the surface and into the country. Allow you to focus now make sure you have a change of cloths for water." Matsu waited for her outside the room while they were getting a skyfall in the tunnels to drive up through the network of deep roads to come out in the lake country where there were several man made and natural lakes.

Tamara unloaded some of her baggage and took a costume and some spare clothes with and traveled along with Matsu until they ended up the lakes again. While she was riding along, she couldn't help but wander what the water would have to do with the upcoming lesson.

"What are we going to do? Are we gonna swim...? Or Something like that?"

"You are going to learn the tapas technique for keeping your body warm. it is best practiced in the water where you can get a chill on your body." She started loading up a few other things for work and testing purposes. The did after all make equipment for jedi so testing of it needed to be done by the jedi to know what they needed. "We'll just take a few of these things and work with you to go and have some fun." Yes to her training was fun, it was how a jedi learned a lot of skills and presented a few of the better scenarios for working on things. Matsu was looing at the girl before she walked a little to the side and prodived a small case of equipment. The jedi masters look when she got her own pack welcoming. "We have new better equipment packs for jedi, doubles as traveling cases and you can store them just about anywhere. A skyfall is here waiting for us to head out when you are ready."
