Sko'saht
Character
The Verpine took in the room with his antenna twitching rapidly, the room had various pods in a neat line running from one end of the room to the other down the middle. A control room was built into the wall from the far side of the entrance, the computers and seats in front of them were surrounded by a plaststeel box usually used to separate offices. The wall to the immediate right of the entrance had what seemed to be school desks set up in neat rows. Each had eight different display screens at an angle raising up from the smooth desk where a portable computer had been set up with a datapad hooked into it. The buttons had been spaced fairly far apart to accommodate the long thing fingers of Verpine.
To the left of the entrance was a large screen taking up most of the wall. Displayed on it was a tactical map of common hyperlane drop out point complete with a buoy, Vindicator Escort Cruiser, and a squadron of twelve TIE fighters. It was a very light force however it clearly was meant to be an initial combat training course. They wouldn't be getting to that for awhile though, first they had to learn the basic systems and how to fly the B-wing. She could be a very unforgiving craft in the hands of the inexperienced and was designed at least partially with Verpine in mind. This was the reason for the near sensory overload he was providing with the numerous screens they'd have to keep track of. Sko wanted them to get used to dealing with how the Starfighter was configured for Verpine pilots before going into the more scaled back humanoid programming.
Moving through the Verpine drone workers and some of the sentient techs putting the finishing touches on the set up he sat down at his own desk that faced the class. They would be coming in soon and he could get this started. He had instructed them to wear their flight suits and bring their helmets. Once they had run through the sim enough for him to consider them ready to fly he'd get them into the squadron of B-wings they'd be using. A mixture of single and duel seats, while the duel was a bit more effective generally the single seats would ensure more fighters in the air at any one time. This was going to be an interesting training session.
