Oysters Will Help Your Hyperdrive - [Silver Jedi Dominion of Mon Calamari]

Dac
:::The Order of the Silver Jedi:::
:::Mon Calamari Hypernautics:::

Before the dawn

Mon Calamari, or Dac to the locals, stands testament to survival. A long history that has seen the peoples of this planet overcome much adversity as well as the planet. In more recent times, the old Sith Empire under the leadership of [member="Darth Vornskr"] had systematically conducted ethnic cleansing and enslavement of the Mon Cala, however the Republic had come to liberate the people and stop the killing. Dac had been under the banner of the Republic and enjoyed its protection and reconstruction and slowly the people of Dac rebuilt. But with the event of the Netherworld, which saw much destruction and turmoil throughout the entire Galaxy, Dac was once again unprotected. For the most part Dac was left unmolested and Mon Calamari Hypernautics had set up business within the territory, with the blessing of the Mon Cala. The company had begun to assist in further development of the planet and establish better shipyards to construct state of the art vessels. Of course this established relationship was mutually beneficial to Mon Cala and Mon Calamari Hypernautics members alike.

However, Dac is left exposed because of the event and so the arrival of a group of pirates under the leadership of a renegade sith who goes by the name of “Cutter” arrived with his ships fully laden with his crew. They had been in system for a few days, watching and waiting for an opportunity to strike with full force. The crew, growing impatient, force Cutter’s hand and so they began attacks on Mon Calamari Hypernautics assets. [member="Darell Irani"], leaders of MCH had contacted Grand Master [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] asking for assistance of The Order of the Silver Jedi. The orders issued by the grand master saw the Silver Jedi alongside the Antarian Rangers, scramble and the Silver Fleet jumped into hyperspace for Dac.

In a secret location in the Orders protected space, Grand Master Heavenshield and Master of the Silver Order, Master Coci Heavenshield travelled to The Will of the Force. Only the Silver Council know of this ships location and it will remain this way until required. Coci doubted it would be needed to engage, the mere sight of it would be enough to send the pirates packing.

On the bridge, a large crew are busy as the ship prepares to jump. The sound of the klaxons giving the five minute warning before the jump echoed through the ship. Coci took her seat nearby the captain’s chair which stood ready for Thurion to take command.

Coming from Voss, a fleet of EIC mentor-class battlecruisers, each housing squadrons of Aurek Strike Interceptors, and E’ron Class Corvettes for transport to ground of Jedi and Rangers as well as medical personal and supplies.

Objectives:
Take command of one of the ships listed.
Take command of a squadron.
Assist MCH protect assets in orbit against the pirates.
Run the pirates out of the system.
Conduct diplomatic talks with the peoples of Dac.
Explore the oceans and visit the Seaweed Forests and/or the Valley of the Giant Oysters.
Help further establish medical centre and general infrastructure.

As the ships prepared for the great move on Mon Calamari Yura could only contain so much excitement. She'd never been to the planet and, as such, knowing it would become a new territory for the Silver Jedi made it all the more exciting to know it would be free for the to visit. The idea of being underwater with a race of fish people was almost like a fairytale, though knowing the Calamarians as she did from stories and so-forth it wouldn't be as fantastical as one would think. Still at least in the grand scheme of things it meant that this planet would not fall to the Sith or any other enemy factions.
Yura had been on one of the E'ron Class Corvettes while slipping into the proper diving attire for the mission. She knew it would mean needing to be ready to swim, something she wasn't too worried about. In the past she'd swim laps around her family's pool as one of the means to keep herself fit. Hopefully it'd come into play here when dealing with underwater issues. Though she did wish they'd have found suits that weren't so tight around the chest.
She prepped herself knowing she wouldn't be dealing with any of the heavy action during the mission. She was a trained healer and pretty good at discussing things out with people. Hopefully she would only have to play healer and/or diplomat while possibly exploring the undersea cities of Mon Calamari. But if any fighting was to be involved it was a good thing she had a practice saber on stand-by.

"I am sorry." There was something to be said as Ikki remained in her fighter while she was looking over the controls. Ayumi and Camellia had thought this thing up... Making a fighter using the stronger equipment they had brought in. It gave her a nice ship to use when meeting with the oswafts who could train her. That was what she was doing as the helmet and air system let her form balls of thought she could send to the creatures. Sending off a blast of energy while it was coming off. She heard the news and what they were being sent to do on Dac, her lips curling into a smile while Ikki asked it to come along. She wasn't going to waste a chance and then felt the ball seeing images while closing the canopy.

She let out a breath while focusing, she had a master in [member="Cambria Zadira"] but she wasn't one to believe the twi-lek would always be there. She knew well that masters were busy and not going to hold her hand so finding ways to practice navigation and piloting was important while she ticked away coordinates in her head. Eyes going black while she reached out to feel the planet and saw her teacher flap its large frame and then head off into a window towards the planet. The Honorable class fighter humming for a moment as Ikki exhaled and that sensation of energy popping came with a distortion that became a window and then stable... She sent the ship forward to focus and push into it while wondering how it might be received.

Leaving the modifications to his armour for another time, Connor was thinking about how the new colour would look against the black and silver plates, all this while watching the Silver Jedi and Rangers gear up and move out from Voss to Dac at the beckoning of the Grandmaster.

So nice the spatting couple could finally remember what they had to do primarily, instead of taking time away for retreats and turning the Temple into a crèche. To be honest, Connor’s return was of no urgency, but until things were clear, he would continue to do his duty.

Watching the transports move out, something Connor could do for hours as he was fascinated by ships and their design, the Master was ready for whatever he had to do – his way, this time. If there was a threat to the people of Dac, then Connor would help them and show them that the Force was something more than a barrier to overcome; it was a tool to be used carefully and effectively.

”Come on, let’s pick it up – stick together, know your call-signs and the maps where you’re heading. This isn’t a training sim remember.”

Walking along the ships, he was one of few Masters making sure all those heading to Voss got there quickly and in one piece. Not one face did he recognise on the landing bay and hangar. Not one Padawan, Knight or Master. The others may possibly be en-route already, but none so far who he knew had passed.

It was like Iella’s death, and then Sochi’s, had signalled the end of one chapter and opened a new uncertain one for Connor, but one that was full of new generations to lead the Silver Jedi. He hadn’t seen Maya, or Nima, even Xander or Dagos. Even his old Padawan, [member="Syala Daivik"]. He hadn’t seen her since Ilum. He hoped in all of this she was ok and safe, wherever she was.

Mon Calamari Hypernautics was a company with long-term vision, ambition and with enough funds backing it to supply both of the former in spades. Its backers had jumped at the change to invigorate the Calamari system, help their economical troubles by injecting the planetary body with money, repairing infrastructure and create jobs. It was simply the way of things when the Tion Hegemony was somehow involved, they made sure that the people they worked with were taken care of, it wasn’t charity, it was simply business sense.

People who were satisfied and happy worked harder, complained less and rebellions would be almost non-existent, the perfect climate for a booming economy that pulled in money. At least that was the general idea behind it, clearly it didn’t add in the notion of pirates wreaking in to take their piece of the cake.

The Ty’rel Fleet had been dismantled after the sell and disposal of the main body, Saiba Group, Eridium Industrial and Mon Cal Hypernautics all held their own fleets, as did Bright Star and the general Tion Hegemony Fleet. But they were all light years away and tied up with their own affairs.

So it had seemed as common sense to call upon the Silver Jedi for help. Their meeting on Lianna had been slightly… tense, but in the grand scheme of things had gone off fairly well, with the general consensus being that closer ties were preferable, but that it would have to be done slowly and with much caution.

Currently the engineers and non-combative fleet of Eridium Industrial was busy with the construction of a great shipyard that would span the entirety of Mon Eron, a terraformed terrestrial body, which would serve to invigorate the Calamari System even more. Buffing up the amount of jobs and generally being a boon for the Mon Calamari.

Beeps on Irani’s monitor showed that the fleet of the Silver Jedi were preparing to launch for Mon Cal from Voss, when they made the jump and arrived they would find the Mon Calamari fleet in a fierce fight with the Sith Renegade Forces.

For now the battle was evenly spread out, but the Calamari had been caught off guard and they would need any support they could get.

Location: That endless black thing, yeah, space.
Task: Negotiate with the Mon Cal's.

He watched as the ships around him dropped out of hyperspace. He was manning a shuttle with a few troops, flying down to the water, gearing up with some breathing equipment and diving down to the Mon Cal capital. Well, that was the plan. He hoped his negotiations would stay negotiations, and not become aggressive negotiations.

His plan went well, and after a while he found himself in the capital. He wasn't exactly sure why the pirates let him pass, but he wouldn't question it. He walked his way, followed by his troops, towards the Capital Building. He smiled as he reached the building, walking inside slowly. Luckily for him, the Mon Cal's were expecting him. They took Quinn through to a small briefing room, and just before he entered Quinn ordered his troop to wait outside.

Sitting down, he eyed the Mon Cal leader in front of him. He was ready to negotiate, sort out ways that the Silver Jedi could get trade routes through Mon Cal, Dac as the locals called it. As to why it went by the name of Dac, Quinn had no idea. He slowly started talking, explaining what The Silver Jedi were doing, what they were planning to do to help them.

All he could hope, is that they listened.

I stood aboard a Mentor-Class ship, standing at attention as an officer completed the simple briefing. Just like any other mission like this the objectives were simple and easily understood. Go out in a starfighter, kill or remove the pirates from the system, and assist in supplying medical supplies to the ground. Not a difficult briefing to understand. There was only one problem. I was not a noteworthy starfighter pilot. I was an excellent vehicle commander or pilot, capable of holding my own against Sith in close quarters, and an capable ground commander, but starfighters were another matter. In the great ocean of space anything could happen, and dying in the cold void was not on my to do list. The officer finished his briefing, saluted us and sent us on our way.

It was a quick walk to the hangar were the Aurek-class Starfighters where being prepared and made battle ready. I knew how to pilot a Starfighter, I just wasn't keen on getting out there and getting myself shot down. Even still I decided it was best to familiarize myself with the controls before I got stuck out there. Situating myself in the cockpit, I strapped into the crash webbing and went over the controls quickly. I could see the rest of the squadron I was a part of getting ready, including the captain who would be in command of the unit, doing similar tasks. Good, I wasn't the only one with that sinking feeling. On the ground I was wholly confident in my abilities, but not so in space. The comm channel buzzed, "All fighter's prepare for launch." and this was it.

Ethnic cleansing and enslavement of the locals didn’t seem like such a bad idea. Should they be deserving of it. Right, Marek, keep your dark credit hungry tendencies out of the work space. There were rogue Sith, a blinged out Jedi order and your pal [member="Darell Irani"] on the case here. But he was here to assist with interests and 12 percent of shares he owned of the wonderful tourist trap known as Dac. Once this was through, he was going to be bringing cruise liners here, and maybe even develop a floating resort. That last bit seemed like a winning situation. Have Fishsticks and Squidface run it.

Would be a dream.

Turning to his business bro and the very attractive… assistant? Hired escort? Techno Union Member? Marek nodded. “So, when this is over, you’re helping me get a casino game up here, right? Gonna need to capitalize on what this world has.” Marek smirked.

And maybe, if he did that, genocide was off the table.

He really didn’t have his comfy chair here, as for a really lame joke. “Why again are we over this moon and not the actual world?” where they could drop the shipyard to make a reef for divers if the locals got cranky.

Darell was still staring at the flickering displays. Some of them were showing the progress of the Silver Jedi Fleet, heralds were already getting in and dispersing emissaries. It seemed some of the Jedi were already negotiating with the Mon Cal leadership, which was a good thing. The sooner they had their ducks in a row, the sooner they would be able to push the Sith presence out of the system.

Which might sound ironic coming from him, but wasn’t really. As a Sith Lord he simply would have waltzed into the flagship of the Renegade Sith, cut his head off and installed his own regime over the pirates- it would have solved all the problems.

But he wasn’t here as Darth Carach, Voice of the Dark Lord.

He was here as Darell Irani, a legitimate and well-known respected businessman. A man who who openly valued words like ‘Freedom’ and ‘Commerce’. Capitalism at its finest, with the barest touch of concern for the lives of those that worked beneath him.

Was it his true face? Did it even really matter as long as he took care of his people?

Sure.’ Irani finally replied, peeling away his eyes from the monitor and taking note of Starchaser standing next to him. ‘We got a long way to go here though.’

Beneath them Eridium Industrial was putting up the first foundation of what would be a gargantuan shipyard, encircling the entirety of Mon Eron. Darell didn’t have the ability to help the Mon Cal, no fleets that could support them.

But he could start building up something new and beautiful, so when the Silver Jedi secured order that the Mon Cal could profit from this venture and that at least something good came from all of this.

The shipyards of Dac have deteriorated to a severe degree and refitting them would be problematic without pouring in a lot more money into it than it’s worth. Besides, the Monarch of Mon Cal wasn’t exactly thrilled with the precedents that could pop up.’

A shrug.

Being able to invest into the entire system though? Makes up for that in my opinion, wouldn’t you agree?

Aboard the Will of the Force
Somewhere in Silver Space
He'd never been onboard the massive vessel that is the Will of the Force. More akin to a space station than a ship, its main focus was to oversee Silver Jedi operations across their protected space. To Thurion it looked more like a floating city, and could very well act like one should they have a need of harbouring refugees of war-torn planets. Everywhere he looked there were people hard at work, keeping track of communications or checking the values of life support and what-have-you. It all seemed way above Thurion's technical know-how, so he wasn't really paying attention to what everybody was doing. He felt more than a little lost, like the first time he was aboard a ship as a kid. So many buttons to press, so little time.

Thankfully, the lovely [member="Coci Heavenshield"] was with him. No doubt she knew these things better than he did. He wasn't overly fond of being so far from his brethren as they go into battle on a planet lightyears away, but if they could bring the Will of the Force into the fight, their odds would improve greatly. While all but stationary, the crew had been working tirelessly to bring the hyperdrive online once the plan to bring it to Mon Calamari was made reality. It was going to be a long journey, but once there their victory would be assured.

The Captain's chair stood waiting for him on the bridge as Coci had already taken her seat next to it. After a deep breath he assumed his seat, looking over the control panels and the pilots and navigators ready for his orders. "I really, really don't belong here," he whispered to Coci. "I feel like I'm in some Sci-Fi movie." After finding some reassurance in squeezing her hand, he gave the order. "Alright, men - engage hyperdrive!"

Objective: Aggressive Negotiations.

Quinn wished bandits knew how to take a holiday. The Mon Cal leader spent at least half an hour complaining about how the bandits were pressuring him into making choices he never needed to make. Quinn was sick of him, and he hadn't even started getting into the important stuff. He sigh, this was going to be a long meeting.

After a few moments the Mon Cal leader finally asked the question. What were the Silver Jedi going to do about his bandit issues. Quinn was finally happy to have a question he could answer. Quinn explained that the Silver Jedi were currently above them in space, taking the fight to the bandits. He also explained that he had chose to come down here to avoid the fighting. He wasn't much for it.

He wasn't sure how the fight in the endless black thing was doing, to be honest he didn't care how it was doing. As long as they managed to force the pirate bandit things away, he couldn't care. Quinn sipped his drink, slowly explaining to the Mon Cal leader that in return for saving their planet, they would like trade routes through Mon Calmari. The leader said he'd think about it, which was always a nice answer.

Quinn was instructed into the waiting room until tomorrow, when the Mon Cal would meet and discuss letting the Silver Jedi have trade routes through there. Quinn secretly hoped that they'd hurry and say yes, but he couldn't say that. He didn't want to risk this becoming out of hand. They needed these guys on side.

Fish people... eh.

JJ was set to be part of the ground team. He suited up in a breathing suit, minus the mask and helmet at this point, in case he needed to take to the ocean. Pirates were in they system, and they had reached the planet surface as well. Dac was the meeting place where Judah was to meet with a representative of the Antarian Rangers. Certain rumors floated around regarding the oceans and a plan of attack, and JJ was there to see if there was truth to them. He was the Jedi end, the Ranger was the military end. Part of him wished he could just go alone, or with his master, but she had taken another student who needed her more than him.

When JJ hit the surface of the planet, he made his way straight for the rendezvous point. There was a small cove off to the west of the Island like city structure. He seemed to be early, but that was his motto. JJ thought about acting like a tourist, but with all the commotion happening around the planet, he knew that wasn't going to fly, especially with a lightsaber hanging from his belt. Never knew when it was going to come in hand under water, so JJ kept it in the open.

His experience with the Rangers consisted of helping [member="Kaitlyn Solay"] liberate the mines on the fifth moon of Antar. She was interesting, liked to take charge, but was handy with a blaster, and even more so with the daggers she carried in her boots. They were vibroblades, and he thought he remembered seeing a cortosis weave, but he wasn't sure. Regardless the task had been done efficiently, and JJ still found himself thinking about the pretty brunette from time to time.

Another transport took off, Connor shielding his eyes from the shockwave kicking up around the mighty engines as it did. The Rangers were an efficient team to say the least.

Glancing around, only a few ground staff remained and two more transports. Connor could see no more reason to hang around on Voss - he had things to do, and a planet to help liberate. Taking the hand of a Ranger on board his nearest ship, the Jedi wrapped his hand around a leather loop in the hold and stood behind the cockpit to see the view.

"Quick as you can. I don't trust those others on Dac - and I don't mean the Silvers."

Another young Jedi and Ranger stepped on-board, and the hatch was closed seconds before the ship rose to follow the others en-route South to Dac.

As the ships began to take off Yura had sensed something familiar. Her attention was never so kind as to have her stay in one place for too long, especially when she felt as though it was an opportunity to see someone she knew. Following this feeling she made her way onto one of the smaller ship where, just as she came on at the last minute, the hatch had closed. She'd seen everyone else on-board and gave little waves but was more concerned with whoever was on the ship that she knew was familiar in some way. It eventually brought her to the cockpit where, to her surprise, she could see [member="Connor Harrison"] standing there.
With a delighted gasp she said "Master Harrison!" before hugging him from behind. "It's so great to see you again, sir. Oh!" she stopped and pulled herself away. "I' sorry. I should've bowed first." before actually doing so. After that she realized something moving and asked "Wait...is this ship moving?" before seeing outside the view as the ship was already taking off. "Oh..."

It felt like minutes ticked away, sitting still in the cockpit of the Aurek-class waiting for the green light to go. Check in started going around on the comms, "Blue Leader, green and good to go," and others throughout the squadron. When it came time for me to call in i paused for a second to glance over my ship's control board to be one hundred percent sure everything was good to go before responding, "Blue Seven, ready to rumble," I said over the open channel. I would be piloting as some sullustan's wingman, which wasn't bad, I just didn't personally know him was all. A call came over the comm channel, "All Starfighters, begin launch sequence." It was simple and i flicked the repulsorlifts on the vehicle into active mode.

I followed the sullustan's fighter towards the ventral opening in the hangar, more than large enough for our fighter's to pass through simultaneously. Without activating the engines we dropped through the hole and kicked the engines in once we had passed beneath the hull of the Mentor-class that carried us here. Our Squadron was slated to be one of the first ones in, and would be jumping the last leg of the way on our own hyperdrives. "Blue squadron, all out and ready to go." The captain said over the comm channel, "Red Squadron, good to go," came another voice, "Yellow Squadron, same." A full wing of starfighters prepped and ready to dive in to the Mon Calamari system. The short five minute hyperspace flight would drop us just outside the engagement zone and leave our enemies without much time to coordinate against us.

Kaitlyn Solay waited for her Jedi contact at the rendezvous point on one of the Hawaka Islands, a chain of islands that formed the peaks of the Seascape Mountains, which was a vast underwater mountain range. It was located between the Doomed City of Aquarius and the Valley of the Giant Oysters. The young Antarian Ranger Scout had been inserted on planet before the Silver Jedi Order was called into service to help defend Dac from the renegade Sith "Cutter" and his pirates. KT was working with the Mon Calamari Rangers, who were moving now to check out rumors of pirates going after the Whaladons as they possibly looked to harvest the famed pearls of the deep too in the ripe Oyster beds.

Having been submerged in a military-grade Mon Calamari submersible just below the cove's deep blue waters, Kaitlyn brought the mini-sub to the surface when her contact appeared on the beach front; wearing a breathing suit of her own, though had a stinger on her hip instead of a lightsaber being a non-Force user along with her daggers that were sheathed. The blue-eyed brunette opened the canopy, then waved to the somewhat cocky Corellian standing there as the water vehicle floated about on the easy waves coming into the small cove.

"Greetings [member="Judah Lesan Jr."].. We meet yet again on another mission. People will start talking. Hopefully this fairs as well as the last. Jump in, or you can swim over. Just don't rock the boat for I'd hate to explain to the Mon Cal I borrowed this from how you sunk us," she quipped dryly.

"Well would you look that, I was literally just thinking about you," he said in response to her dry humor.

JJ smiled, he actually did think it was funny. His parents had a unique dry humor of their own, so he was used to it, especially his father. Climbing into the submersible, JJ buckled in since it was clear Kait was doing the driving. He almost wanted to roll his eyes. His mother did the same thing if she ever beat his dad to the land speeder. Whatever, this was going to be fun. Of all the things Judah had done before, this was not one of them. Even though they were here to stop pirates, JJ was going to enjoy the adventure.

"Seriously though, I'm glad for the chance to work with you again. I'm certain with your skill and dedication we'll have another favorable outcome."

The last time was mainly because of her scout work. JJ knew they would be relying on it again. Rather than barrel ahead, this time he'd listen to what she had to say. Though last time, JJ also wasn't aware of her part of the mission as he was only helping. As partmof the Silvers, he knew the stakes, and he had the details he needed to know. There were other Kait had, and JJ was ready for them now. This was their best chance.

"So what do I need to know now, why did the Mon Cal Rangers request the presence of a Jedi for this? I'm assuming there is a force user behind this?"

He had not been able to train with him in fecent months what with all of the campaigns the Grandmaster was going on.

Cambria loved to fly, and today she would be doing so with the Silver Aces to help push back the pirate's space attack upon Dac. She would be in the first wave inbound, leaving her youngest padawan, [member="Ikki Ike"], to follow in the second if needed. The Jedi Knight's older padawan, [member="Judah Lesan Jr."], would be assisting the Rangers on the ground, or rather the sea. The young Corellian would be taking his trials soon so this would be a good test of his readiness to do so.

After zipping her black flight suit all the way to the top and donning her specialized helmet, made especially to accommodate her twin brain tails, the Twi'lek Guardian Force jumped up onto the wing assembly of her Jedi starfighter, then settled quickly into the pilot couch. Gloved fingers nimbly began pushing buttons and flipping switches while the canopy closed down. A bleep from Cambria's trusted astromech droid, "Geenine", advised her all systems on the Honorable-class elite starfighter were green to go.

With the launch order given, Silver Nine's X-wing shot out of the battlecruiser's mag-con, then arc'd to form up with the rest of the squadron. Reaching out into the Force and touching the other Jedi pilots, Cambria began the Battle Meld that would assist them in the fight ahead while her S-foils expanded into attack position.

Marek figured the Silver Jedi could do their thing, hell, they were keeping Tion space safe… or whatever. He should probably ask his lady-friend in Sasha Santhe what was going on there, but so long as he could keep traveling and no Jedi were going to declare holy war on him, he was fine. Even then, he’d rabbit and get out of there, shoot from afar and hurl lightning at them. Should they throw a saber into the fray, well, he could defend himself, until he could do something else, but he wasn’t going to be making any kind of offensive with a lightsaber.

But right here? Marek wasn’t worried. He was around Irani, and the Silver Jedi knew they were here. The shipyards were his focus. With business-bro-clone-business-man-something that Irani was here, Marek was ready to get to work, which meant overseeing things. He liked doing that, it meant just making sure the contractors didn’t hurt themselves and he would pick up his credits. The sometimes-explorer of the Force had plans for the Fishsticks and their gorgeous ships.
