- Automated Interior Security System: The AISS is an advanced Security network designed to keep mass cargo shipments safe from theft or tampering. The interior of the ship is outfitted with automated blaster turrets that will challenge any non-registered lifeform or droid that is caught by the complex scanner system. In addition to the automated turrets, all cargo containers are sealed in reinforced Steel casings to help stop theft. These casings are magnetically sealed and marked with a special transponder code. If the casing is removed from the ship without authorization from the ship's Captain then an alarm will sound and an emergency signal will be sent out to a pre-determined contact.
- Energy Overload Procedure: The ship is outfitted with a number of energy dowels which help to successfully dump excess energy and ION particles. This helps defend from an ION/EMP based attack on the ship's systems. When ION particles flood the ship's systems all excess energy will be routed to the dowels and the ship's auxiliary systems will enter a standard shutdown.
- Security Measures: The Pegasus line of Cargo ships was designed for extraplanetary bulk shipping. The ship's design was crafted to ensure the protection and safe shipping of any and all materials seeking to be transported. A number of security systems are in place with redundant measures so theft is practically impossible without alerting a higher authority.
- Speed: Even when considering it's large size, this ship is capable of impressive speeds. This is reflected more so in real time than Hypertravel as it holds only a standard Hyperdrive, however it is capable out-running most ships of a similar size and class.
- Resistant Hull: This ships hull was designed to be particularly resistant to blaster fire, extreme heat, and thermal energy.
- EMP/ION: With the Energy Overloading technology outfitted on the ship, it is capable of handling EMP/ION based weaponry. Although this does not guaranty the ship's resistance it does allow the ship to dump excess energy and handle ION particles better.
- Low Maneuverability: The ship's design was not crafted with a high maneuverability in mind. This can prove detrimental when attempting to apply rapid evasive maneuvers.
- Low Armament: As this ship is not intended to function as a direct warship it was outfitted with only the necessity when it came to armament loadouts. A number of mounted laser cannons have been installed on the ship to defend it from a pirate attack, however it is not a reliable open-combat starship.
The Pégase-Class Cargo Cruiser is the first Starship to be constructed by the Illyrian people. Constructed at the drydocks on L'enfer it was designed to be a fast-moving trade vessel with an advanced security network. The Starship sits at one thousand meters in length and over two hundred in height. The ship is composed of three personnel loading ramps, three cargo loading ramps, a tractor beam loading bay, and two hydraulic shipping container lift appendages for ease of movement for materials.
Over sixty percent of the ship is composed of pure cargo space. This includes cold storage bays and thermal resistant lining halls for hazardous materials. Outside of the storage areas the ship has a crew cabin for the men and women in charge of the shipping process. At any time the ship will generally have a crew of eighty personnel. This includes logistical specialists, shipping hands, pilot teams, flight officers, and security personnel. The starship is also outfitted to work with a number of droid teams to serve as engineers and maintenance teams. The starfighter flight deck, where all support craft are held, is generally outfitted with mostly shuttles and small transport ships, however a single starfighter pursuit team is kept on hand in the event the ship comes under attack.
Elegant and powerful, the Pégase was designed to be the front-runner for the Illyrian trade network.
