JUNGLE FELUCIAN VILLAGE, FELUCIA
A FEW HOURS AFTER THE BATTLE OF FELUCIA
EQUIPMENT: N/A
Everything hurt. Kir could detect the highest concentration of pain coming from his right leg, some sort of liquid was oozing from it, his best guess was blood. Lights danced around before him for a second before he finally coaxed his eyes open, his head was pounding, forcing him to close his eyes again for a second, before forcing them back open. Where the hell was he? Attempting to wriggle out of his position, he found from a quick look down that he was bound by the ankles, and by his hands also. How had he gotten here? The last thing he remembered was charging towards Kway Teow without a care in the world. The hustle and bustle of the forest was evident through the sounds of animals, soft cries from a distant animal, or the moving of a plant. Despite its deadly nature, this Force was quite strong here, due to its abundance of life.
Assessment of the situation was a valuable skill that he'd been taught not only by the Jedi, but during his experience in starfighter combat. It had gotten him out of a rut or two, and hopefully it could get him out of this one. The young Jedi glanced around anxiously, surveying his surroundings. He could make out several figures in the distance, fast approaching him. Their figures were somewhat humanoid, but their heads were not one clearly defined mass like his own, but multiple root-like tendrils making up the head. They seemed to have a bright glow on the end of each one, which further confused him as to what species they were. They seemed to be dressed in quite primitive clothing, and most had strange blue markings on their chests, in contrast to their gray skin tones.
Know they were getting closer, as the closest one took a bold step and started prodding at him with a stick. He winced as the already present pain was exacerbated by this one curious being. It took a deep stare at him, studying him, and seemingly sensing the pain he was in. Another one stepped out from the main group, this being had red markings instead the typical blue that was common among the group. It wore horn-like objects around its waist, with an elaborate headdress. Du-du-dum du-du-dum du-du-dum The mighty pounding of a drum, worsened his headache, suddenly, the band of aliens started gyrating wildly, moving around in a circle formation.
A feeling of dread washed over him as the dancing got more intense. Kir writhed helplessly in his bonds as the red-marked alien brought out a blade of some kind, its sharp edge glistened as he realized that his struggles were futile. This was not how he imagined that he would die, eaten alive on Felucia. He seemed to be tied to some sort of large tree, looking upwards, he saw it towered high in the sky, passing through the clouds.
He felt the panicked thumps of his heartbeat, his heartrate must have been skyrocketing. Globules of sweat began to form on his head as the red figure turned around and seemed to be addressing the crowd. After a seemingly rabble rousing speech, it began to approach him again, blade in hand, ready to strike.
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed something else glinting in the sun, one of the aliens was holding a shiny cylindrical object in their hand. His lightsaber?
Kir needed to come up with some sort of plan and quickly, before he was disemboweled. Luckily, the lead alien seemed to be approaching him rather slowly, taking measured, methodical steps towards him. What to do. What to do? Peering up at the higher levels of the tree, he wondered what he could possibly do to escape. Then it hit him.
It was simple, and something that he'd been shown how to do by Maynard-. Maynard. Where was he? Had they just left him? He refused to believe it, but his mind was urging him to search his feelings. There was no way Maynard would consciously leave him. Shaking his head, as if to shake the thought away, he commenced his grand plan. Slowing his breathing, he attempted to find some sort of serenity. In and out, in and out. Let the Force flow through you, this place was teeming with life, everything seemed to be in careful harmony and symbiosis. It all flowed through him, from the vibrantly coloured plants, to the largest animals, he sensed it all, and it was liberating.
Focusing on the lightsaber, he made a gesture for it with his head, using the Force to reach for it and grab it, as one would do with a hand. Latching onto it, he began to slowly pull it out of the hold of one of the aliens. The lead one stopped in its tracks, making a three-sixty in turn with all the others who seemed mesmerized by this feat. The alien didn't even attempt to grab onto it as it slipped out of its hand and into the air. Moving his head, he shook it around slightly. They followed its movements in awe. He chuckled slightly before throwing it about a metre away, as they all turned to investigate the strange object.
That gave him a good window. He began to place the bonds on his hand on the tree and rubbed up and down on it, as if he was scratching, as an animal wood. Bit by bit, he could feel the tree cutting the bonds, and the bonds loosening as a result. Knowing that they'd lose interest in a few seconds, he gyrated faster, until after a few seconds of the movement, the bonds fell to the ground.
A sigh of relief left his lips, as he rubbed on his bruised wrists. He was completely out of the woods yet, noticing that he could not do the same with his leg bonds, as they were tied round the tree. However, Kir had a good idea of what might do the job. Examining the scene the before him, Kir noted that the aliens were in a sort of huddle around the object, in reverence of it.
The pilot reached out, arm outstretched with an open palm, he'd struggled with this in the past. Telekinesis was not one of his more redeeming skills, but he figured if he was able to move the lightsaber, then surely he could do this. Channeling the already strong Force presence that he felt around him, he heard the lightsaber begin to shudder, if he didn't do this, he was dead. Closing his eyes, he concentrated, letting his weapon and the Force become the only things in his mind. Silence reigned for a second, then a woooosh noise.
He closed his palm as soon as the metal touched his hands.
"Come on!"
Kir exclaimed, and as he opened his eyes, he was greeted by not so happy looking aliens. Taking the opportunity, he cut his bonds with a clean stroke of his lightsaber, a slight sizzling of the bonds.
"Can't stay long, see ya!" He taunted them, part hobbling, part running away and reveling in his newfound freedom..
