DESCRIPTION

Intended for use against high-value prisoners by interrogators such as those employed by the Blackwatch, the Shrouded Republic's dreaded secret police, the PA-1N Enhanced Interrogation Device has also become a popular tool for the Anubian priesthood of the Ancient Eye as a means of corporeal punishment. Very common amongst Shrouded Republic and Ancient Eye law enforcement units, the PA-1N is a cruel and much-feared means of compelling prisoners to reveal information.

Using a proprietary nerve induction technology, upon skin contact, the PA-1N generates electrical impulses which trick the nervous system of its target into firing its pain receptors without causing actual physical harm. Through tweaking of the signals, which is done via a pair of dials, the device can induce a wide range of pain sensations, ranging from burning and freezing, to electrocution and flaying and the intensity can be tweaked, from relatively low, to excruciatingly painful.

Requiring direct skin contact, preferably at the back of the neck, the PA-1N Enhanced Interrogation Device is completely useless as an actual combat device and is meant to be used in the controlled environment of an interrogation room, rather than the battlefield.
