- Blue Pontite Crystal that causes an icy numbness where struck, and constantly, slowly heals Karlie over time, as well as dulling the aggressive instincts of most animals, including Sith created monstrosities
- Ornate hilt design with a phrik alloy defensive handguard
- Lightfoil altered to be both painless and nonlethal, while still able to penetrate non organic materials
- Due to Karlie's natural spiritual connection to the weapon via her mother as well as the design of the Lightfoil in general, she can wield it without needing to be Force Sensitive
Mother's Mercy: When Karla was still one of the best healers in the Jedi Order, she was a staunch pacifist, and altered her blade using the Light to dull the instincts of hostile, aggressive animals, including even Sith monsters such as sithspawn. The blade is also nonlethal, passing painlessly through the body but inducing either temporary numbness and paralysis, if striking a limb or spine, or unconsciousness if jammed to a vital organ.
Shredder: Despite being nonlethal, it is still capable of cutting through most conventional materials
Mother's Favor: Due to the fact Karlie is genetically identical to Rigor, the lingering spiritual energy of Rigor's pre-Dark Side Self reacts with Karlie, obeying her as though she were its own maker. Combined with the fact most Lightfoils are designed to be operated by Non-Force-Users, lacking the power and certain movement techniques of typical Lightsabers, means Karlie can wield it as though it were her own, because by really, really creepy technicality...it is...
Mother's Caution: A Phrik Alloy Defensive Guard protects the hand during sparring.
WEAKNESSES
- Cortosis: Cortosis will short the blade if in contact
- Hilt Length: Hilt is shorter than normal, allowing for only a single handed grip
- Voids: Will not function in voids
- Deflection weakness: Blade is thinner than normal, making it impossible to deflect blaster bolts, to say nothing of slugthrowers, sonics, and acid.
Of The Deepgaze's, healers, scholars, priests of Berkana, there arose a young maiden, whose soul contemplated no wickedness, eventually touching the healing magics of The Jedi Light, but nonetheless found herself accursed, for she had been born before birth with The Necrokinetic Way, and all the dead was subject to her will, in unholy contrast to Berkana's Law. The young maiden went mad, for she could not be a servant of the light as she wished, nor a servant of Berkana, and her woes doubled as the power of the Ancient Necromancers caused eternal and ever increasing agony to her already mad and miserable soul, and The Prime Necrokinetic must forever leap into copies of her own flesh, giving her legion of daughters only the briefest of lives before taking their face for her own.
--Translated from a clay tablet written in Ancient Castagne
The Lightfoil of Karla Linnet Deepgaze prior to her fall to the Dark Side, The Pacifist's Foil was constructed at a time when Karla was very much a Jedi and had her whole life ahead of her. No one was more displeased than Karla was to discover her Necrokinetic ability. A non-lethal weapon, the foil is for primarily ceremonial purposes and occasional impromptu defense, though has been altered by Karla's then strong connection to the light to lower the hostilities of dangerous animals, including Sithspawn, as well as remain sturdy enough to fight an actual lightsaber blade. Created during an era were Light foils were just starting to become popular, Karla abandoned it after her fall, the blade residing in an ancient vault on Castagne. Even Darth Rigor herself had forgotten the location of the vault when she again returned to the world of her birth to marry Tarssin Destat. Recovered after extensive investigation by Vera, she was planning on giving it to Karlie the day she and Karlie were ambushed by the Ressurected Darth Rigor's agents, which lead to Heretic Station then bombarding Castagne
