To TLDR what would otherwise be a longwinded post:

I'm looking for a Padawan. They don't have to be a Jedi currently, and in truth I'd prefer to pick someone up who doesn't originate from the temple just to have some really sharp contrast with Carn (who is essentially one of the more hardline, orthodox Jedi you'll come across).

There are a number of Jedi Masters in the Galactic Republic looking for Padawans. You could join the Faction and find your own way, or PM me and we can see who would be most suitable.
