Pain? Meh.

Tython
Jedi Temple
(or what's left of that)
----------------------------

At least she was away from the Sith. At least she was far away from the Jedi. She didn't feel like being with any of these two. She wanted to explore a little bit. She wanted to be alone. Or just not with the people who would want to make her decided.

She hated decisions.

They made her feel ache inside. They made her heart pound faster than anything. And it made her stomach feel like it was covered with needles.

It was not comfortable.

For that reason, coming to the planet of Tython deep inside the sphere of One Sith looked like a good idea to her. She could be alone and not make any decisions which i) she would regret later, and ii) made her feel so bad inside.

Wearing her typical -- a black leather jacket, grey trousers and boot -- she marched around the remains of a temple, eyeing the sights.

Then she reminded herself that she wasn't a tourist. She had to be alone, not go for a walk around the old town or something.

If a person had seen the scene of Emma varying between thinking and moving, they would have probably laughed at her as there was no way they could have had seen anything more funny than a person walking a bit, then sitting down for a second, walking again, sitting down, walking, and so on.

Plus the grimaces the girl made were hilarious.

Thank force she couldn't see herself.

Tython, This writer believes it to be a most excellent decision, considering Jyn's future storyline!!

Her research had brought her to the ancient centre of the Je'daii Order... To the planet that had rejected all save the most neutral and balanced of lifestyles. For millennia Jedi had tried to settle here, yet each time they failed to recall the violent reaction the planet had to the presence of anything too light or too dark en mass.

How was it that they did not realise this, when Jyn - who was so new to the History of the Jedi Order and the Je'daii of the Tho Yor - had learned it after a few months of research? Perhaps they simply wanted to forget so that they could remain close to the root of their origins... But if that was the case, then surely the Jedi were acting against their own code? The planet suffered just so they could have something superficial...

Snapping out of her thoughts, Jyn sighed. For once she had come to a world with a way off! How wonderful. Albeit, she had a very limited timeframe, but all the same she was grateful that a researcher had offered her the ride. Firstly she had to accompany them to the Jedi Temple, or what remained of it, so that they had a base from which to operate for the next few days. Then Jyn would be free to venture and explore at least the closest Tho Yor. She knew that Kaleth was not too far from here, but whether she would get to see any of the others was doubtful.

Either way, to see Kaleth would be wonderful. It was so full of history, and if any of the data-devices remained -- the ones too cumbersome to remove, and thus had simply had their content replicated -- she may find some further information amongst the ruins!

Trudging through the grassy planes of Tython's most well-known continent, Jyn had no trouble keeping up with the researcher. After all, she had been given time to rest and recover since the events on Vendaxa. If anything, Jyn felt more of an urge to explore and find out more about the ancient order which had grasped at her curiosity and enticed her so.

Emma took one more step before completely stopping near a tree. She had had enough of walking around aimlessly. For the whole year and a little bit more after getting away from the torturous tester, she actually hadn't done anything productive. The action she had participated in was traveling around the galaxy, trying to find her own place. All the money she had for that was borrowed from her mother and every time she needed more, she made one little call and voilĂ , she had the cash she needed.

That didn't mean she wouldn't have to pay all of that back one day, anyway.

But what would she do now? She knew she was sensitive. Sensitive to the Force. And that she couldn't use it one day. But how would she gain training? How would she start using the power?

To hurt others and gain dominance over them? To aid those who have been hurt by the endless war of good and evil? Or join the side which is so eagerly trying to keep the whole galaxy illuminated that they have no idea of how people -- those who are not warring -- feel.

There were endless philosophies. There were endless ways she could go.

Yet which one of them was the right one for her?

The more they walked, and the quieter the pair became, the more Jyn felt the absence of the only stable companion she'd had for many years. Not even the Force, which she was slowly learning to embrace, could fill the void within.

Even with time to rest it had not gotten any easier to handle what had happened. The events on Vendaxa had been sinister and taxing, worse than the Sith and the Inquisition combined.

She had believed that continuing with her journey as if nothing had happened would help, but it only sought to bring about further isolation. "What do you know of Tython's history?" she asked the Researcher, trying her best to keep up a conversation that would occupy her as they strode ever onward.

In the distance, Jyn could hear rushing water and knew that they were close to a ridge. Perhaps from there the pair could gauge how far from the Temple they were.

"Tython?" the woman turned her head and smiled at Jyn, the first real sign of emotion she had gotten since they landed on the lush planet. "It's my speciality - and with the Temple abandoned for the time being, this is the perfect time to officially add to the history books before anyone else thinks to take up residence here."

A long look entered the gaze of the woman, before she simply smiled again and gestured for them to walk on. "What do you know of the Tho Yor, young one? I suppose that is a good place to start..."

Revealing her lack of knowledge, the pair finally had a good topic of conversation to discuss as they approached the Temple which had seen thousands through its halls, yet now lay an empty husk of itself. A shadow of a more peaceful era.
