Outer Rim Outfitters now offers a solution in a collapsible and concealable telescoping baton with friction locks. Constructed from Duranium, it can withstand all the abuse you can throw at it. Coated with Cortosis-weave, it can also withstand direct lightsaber strikes when things go sideways, as they too often do.
