Intent: To create a heavy assault tank for the use of the Protectorate
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Fondor TerraTech (Hull) Hekler'Kok Defense Systems (Weapons)
Model: Paladin-Class Heavy Assault Tank
Affiliation: Omega Protectorate
Modularity: No
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Durasteel Alloy
Description: Based on a old tank design that was produced by the Galactic Alliance before the 400 Years of Darkness, the tank's hull was reinforced with a new Durasteel Alloy and top of the line weapons. Canister Launchers that can be loaded with anything from Force-Breaker to cluster shells, combined with top of the line sensors, jamming systems and comms, this provides for a nice all around tank. Due to the fact that its legged version was to slow for the modern day,the legs of the walker were replaced and allowed for it to travel 30 kilometers faster per hour. The tank still has some disadvantages, some of it being its light armor, which is negated due to the heavy shield generator and the tendency for its main gun to overheat if its not stopped to cool. The shielding system is a mix of particle and ray shields,it operates on a layer system, meaning a layer of ray and particle are overlapped.

Here is a modern tank that is 8 meters long and weighs 60 tons.

So when I ask you to kick the weight up to 125 tons, please understand why the drastic change.

Please elaborate on each of the misc equipment and the limitations of each. Effective ranges on the jamming technology, what it jams and how... Ray shields, particle shields, or deflector shields?

Please put a little more work into the description you write for your submissions. The stats tell us the limitations of the design. But the description is your chance to truly explain what the vehicle is and why it should be allowed onto the board. While there are many things that can get away with just a paragraph, we love to see longer descriptions.

I need you to specify what sort of jamming system you are using and how it works.
  • What is the effective range of the jamming system
  • What sensors/communications does the jamming system effect
  • In what manner does it effect them
  • If it effects a specific type of sensor/communicator, then what types does it NOT effect?
If the jamming system you are using is canon, I need you to link the appropriate Wiki page for it.
If your jamming system is not canon, I need you to do a development threat for it.

If you can't do the above, I'll need you to remove the jamming system.
