Description: When resurrecting one of its most iconic vessels, Theed Hangar faced a unique legal challenge. Insofar as could be ascertained from ancient records, Theed Hangar didn't actually own the design to the legendary N-1 starfighter; Nubia did. Theed had only manufactured it. However, Theed Hangar did own very similar designs: the G-1, the N-X, and the three NB-series bomber lines. The G-1 in particular was virtually identical to the N-1, but without Nubian legal entanglements. The G-1 was a collaborative design with a long-defunct nearby yard; procuring sole rights was straightforward enough. The resulting ship is derived from the G-1, with influences from the N-X and NB-series (NB-1, NB-1S, NB-1T), all of which were designed by Theed Hangar.
The Panaka-class is clad in hand-forged, mirror-polished beskar. The vessel can operate at full capacity with a single pilot and astromech. A retractable beskar shield with sensor functionality can cover the astromech if necessary in an emergency. A rear seat can fit a passenger or take over sensor/navigation functions. Although the Panaka-class operates best with an astromech, and has only a short-range hyperdrive, it also has a good-quality navicomputer. The Panaka's variable-configuration cockpit can adjust to accommodate different species' body types and atmospheric requirements. The cockpit upholstery is leather, which offers no benefit but is very nice.
