I relish the moment that they awaken, soon to become trapped in their own fears. The panic rooms, each one stacked above the other, are perfect—soundproof, windowless, a labyrinth of my own design. The criminals I've chosen are just pawns in my game, their minds ripe for exploration.
I feel their confusion as they stir, the pulse of their anxiety are a delicious symphony in my head. Each heartbeat resonates with the echoes of their pasts—greed, betrayal, and the inevitable arrogance that led me to them. They believe they are cunning, but I hold the upper hand. I can delve into their thoughts, twist their memories, and expose their deepest fears.
I watch from the shadows, their minds flickering like dim lights, a chaotic dance of desperation. One of them is trying to block me out. I admire the effort, but it only makes the hunt more exhilarating. Their resistance is futile; they are trapped, and soon, they will break.
One of them is even not alive; a sentient assassin droid upon which I can utilize in my favor. Even they have fears. Even they can instill fear upon others.
Voices rise and fall, muffled and frantic. I can feel them reaching out to one another, trying to forge connections in any way possible, to instill hope where there is none. It's amusing, really—this futile attempt to rally against me. They have no idea how weak they are against my ancient power, how easily I can turn them against each other.
One of them has thoughts that are sharp and defiant, cutting through the fog. I lean in closer, probing deeper, teasing out the memories of betrayal and loss. Each revelation is a weapon I can use, a way to manipulate their fears. I whisper into their minds, planting seeds of doubt, wanting to twist their loyalties until they are nothing but shadows of their former selves.
I savor the power I wield. It's intoxicating, controlling their destinies, watching them spiral into madness like so many before them. They will beg for release, and I will grant it—only to tighten my grip further. I have plans for them, intricate designs to unravel their minds completely.
As I hover above them, I can feel the tremors of panic begin to shake the foundation of their resolve. The game is just beginning, and I am the master. Soon, they will realize that their only escape lies within the darkness of their own minds.
And I will be waiting.
Only darkness.
That is all that you see. At least for these first few minutes. You see, in my world, I control everything. Everything that you see. Everything that you hear. Everything that you can touch. Everything that you feel. And right now you can hear me speak inside of your minds, not knowing just how far that I have delved into them. Not knowing what secrets that you have that you've laid bare before me. Not knowing what they contain.
You are not alone. At least for now.
Shall I turn on the light? Would you like to...see? Will that help to shed a light on your situation? Well, allow me to enlighten you.
