SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Your Hate Has Made You Powerful. Everything about the design of this lightsaber was made with the intent to strengthen the wielder's connection to the Dark Side of the Force, from the corrupted kyber core to the Sarrassian iron.
  • Cuts through many materials with ease.
  • Ideal weight for keeping loose pages or scrolls from rolling away.
WEAKNESSES
  • Contact with Cortosis will short out the blade.
  • Unstable. The crystal core is the product of 13 year old engineering.
  • Not Water Resistant. Submersion of the emitter matrix into water, even just 1 inch, will render the lightsaber inoperable until it can be repaired.
  • Force-based. Does not function where the Force is nullified.
DESCRIPTION
Paperweight was the lightsaber constructed and wielded by the Cathar Sith hopeful Micah tol Powl Micah tol Powl while a student at the Korriban Academy. The project began with a pilgrimmage to a sacred location on Korriban where Sith lightsabers had been traditionally constructed, after which the aspiring alchemist managed (on his third attempt) to create a corrupted kyber to serve as the weapon's core. Sarrassian iron was used as the properties of the metal would accentuate the Naami crystal's effect, strengthening the bond between crystal, wielder, and the Dark Side of the Force.

Being both a self-proclaimed "not a field guy" and a lazy cat, the weapon was typical found in the library or laboratory, where its ordinary use was as a paperweight. Hence the name.

As the kyber core was unstable, the blade produced crackled with energy and seemed on the verse of either shorting out or exploding (possibly both). The blade color had a slight orange hue, perhaps a reference to the Cathar's fiery orange hair.
