Partial Profile Restoration

Ashin Varanin

Professional Enabler
@[member="Pandeima"] has volunteered to begin the long process of retrieving cached bios and re-posting them. There may be duplicate bios; don't worry too much about them, just ask a staffer to delete'em. If you don't want your characters done by Pandeima, PM her. Also PM her if you intend on helping with mass profile restorations.

Thanks, Pan.

A WARNING

So far, I've come across some profiles that, for unknown reasons, do NOT have any sort of cache file, whether old or recent. I apologize for being unable to repair them, but there's honestly nothing I can do.

Epic choice! If I wasn't on my phone id volunteer! But for now ignore mine. I have em done, and the 2 I don't I remember mostly.

Evasion Studios
@[member="Pandeima"] No need to get any of my characters, I have them all accounted for, thank you.

Signature link will show you the names of mine.

I realised something while this happens; all of these profiles are going to be posted but can't be edited by the character's writer, meaning they'll need a double post. This is going to cause an insane amount of clutter and work.

Might I suggest something to prevent a huge amount of cleanup later? Create a temporary forum where all old bios and whatnot can be moved and re-posted. Anything that's been posted in by their actual owner post-Recovery stays in the main one. That way @[member="Pandeima"] can go through and post all the old stuff up in a temporary forum without cluttering the main forum up, and those characters that get renewed can be posted in the main forum. As well, people can (if they get back in time) still have the original link to their profile to get a cached version to re-post for new use.
