Cerasi stood on the roof of one of Coruscant's many office buildings, staring out at the landscape below her. It had been a good day. She bought breakfast at a food cart, but ended up giving the yet-to-be-eaten food to a hungry beggar. After, she had stolen credits from a drunken bastard, giving them to another beggar. They were too intoxicated to notice someone was picking their pockets. Now, she had climbed to the top of the building, using the Force to help her get there. She loved staring out at the bustling city planet around her. Speeders and air ships whipped past her, adding to the forces that played through her hair, churning the raven black strands in the air. She noticed the drivers giving her strange looks, but she didn't hold eye contact for long.

Today had been a good day.

Kharen had been around those drunken bastards of earlier, watching to pick their pockets himself but instead he had been witness to someone beating him to the punch. He had debated just leaving it be but something about the woman had played him as strange so he had chosen to follow her. Lo and behold what he found was something more than curious. First she gave the money away and then started to climb, quite well at that until she was up in the sky with the speeders and airships whipping past her. His smile grew a small bit as he decided to come up to where she was as well. Only as he got up there, his body set itself down and he spoke out a few words in a almost bored tone as he looked at her. "You know, there are cleaner ways to commit suicide if thats why you are all the way up here."

At the sound of the voice, a force of habit, instincts, caused Cerasi to act. Spinning around, she raised her fists in a defensive. She stared at the man for a few moments. "Who are you?" She lowered her fists. At his comment, she chuckled. "No, I'm not going to kill myself. I just like coming up here to...admire the landscape." She looked to the side, out at the city around them. "It's really nice out here. Don't you think?" She turned back to Kharen. "So what are you doing up here? Admiring the scenery, or planning suicide?"

"Neither of them, just looking at a Pickpocket is all." He leaned forward on his hands and then looked past her at the city they stood within. "You know though, there are far grander places than this. I was once on a planet that was covered in nothing but snow and mountains. Mornings there with the sky clear and able to be seen thanks to the absence of lights. Far more interesting a view than this place." He took the moment to grin at the woman and shrugged. "But i digress. IT is indeed a nice night, especially compared to the others that could be held."

Giving a slight nod, Cerasi turned from the man to watch the moving city below her. "I suppose. But I couldn't leave. This is my home." She wasn't sure if that was an excuse or not. She loved adventure, but at the same time feared it and change. Maybe that's what made it so thrilling. "I've never left Coruscant before." She added in, looking over her shoulder to give the man a warm smile. She turned the rest of her body to face him, holding a section of her hair next to her cheekbone so it wouldn't blow in her face. "I'm Cerasi."

She turned back around to stare down at the street again and that's when she noticed a problem. At the base of the building was a small, slightly run down prefab shelter. Standing at the door were two of the planet's security force. She walked closer to the edge of the building to get a closer look. The security seemed to be harassing a poor family of Calamari for taxes they couldn't pay. She even saw one of the men reach for his gun.

She must have really freaked out the man on the roof, for she placed her foot on open air and let her body fall forwards. As she fell the 10 or so floors, she spread the fingers of her left hand. A metal rod sprung from her belt and into her hand. When she was at the halfway mark, she extended the rod into a full staff. At 2 stories, she felt herself slow down so the landing wouldn't injure or kill her.

Landing in a crouch behind the two men, she stood up, her staff held behind her. "Excuse me," she spoke up to get the two's attention. They turned and she immediately sprung into action. Whipping her staff around with precise skill, she whacked the men in multiple spots on their bodies. Recovering, the men raised their blasters and fired. Cerasi began to twirl, the staff a blur as it spun around her, deflecting the blasts. Stopping her body from spinning, she kept the staff moving. Move it left, move it right. She completed the move and the two men crumpled to the ground.

Grinning, Cerasi pressed a button, causing the staff to shorten itself to fit into the palm of her left hand. "Are you hurt?" She asked the family as she clipped the rod back to her belt. The family shook their heads, thanking Cerasi for her actions. "No need to thank me." Her hand moved from her weapon to the credit pouch on her belt. She pulled out a clip and pressed it into mother's webbed hand. Her bulging eyes immediately filled up with tears and she pulled Cerasi into a huge hug. Cerasi stayed in the hug for a few moments before stepping away. Turning back to the building she left the man on, she Force lifted herself back onto the roof with the speed of a proper getaway.

"I'm sorry. What was your name?" She would ask him as she landed on the roof.
