Party on Cademimu (Kitty)

I don't know why I had come to this. Benji had told me that it would help us establish ties to the world and make it easier to open up shop on this planet, and with all its people, it could provide a very healthy work force. Cademimu is home to an enormous city, and a very wealthy upper class. Currently I wasn't aware of any major corporation on this planet and Benji had described it as the gateway to the western hemisphere of the galaxy, but whatever. All I knew was I was sitting exposed at some party. Dinner was being served right now, but I had mistakenly come without a date so I was all alone, sitting with empty chairs on either side of me, eating nerf stake. Basically it was as boring as watching bantha races.

The rich people here had spared no expense to impress their guests. The men all wore nice tuxedos like myself, and the women wore a myriad of dresses, ranging in size, length, and color. Soon they would all start dancing, and I knew a couple of guys would remain seated like me, preferring to stay sitting than make a fool of themselves.

Kitty wasn't sure why she was here. Her masters just told her she needed to be here, something about the will of the force bla bla bla. She'd been here 2 days now and nothing interesting had happened. The only reason she hadn't returned home was because she didn't feel like enduring another miserable hyperspace journey.

At least the food here was delicious and the expenses were paid for so she was at least enjoying herself. It seemed odd though that they wanted her here so badly. Kitty walked into a rather high end party. She knew things wouldn't go well if she were to go in with her lightsaber, but Kitty never let her lightsaber out of her sight, so she stuffed it down her tank top. Unfortunately dressing nice was not a skill Kitty had and she stuck out.

When she arrived everyone seemed to be dancing and she felt awkward. Kitty was beginning to think this was a bad idea, the young sith didn't do well around lots of people at all. In an attempt to try and fit in Kitty grabbed the first guy sitting down she saw and danced with him. Just so happens that guy happened to be [member="Draco Vereen"]. "Didn't seem like you were enjoying yourself."

The feline female approached him and pulled him up to dance, I couldn't refuse. I had been too surprised to be able to come up with a decent argument against it before she had me up and on the floor. "I don't really fit in with these rich types. They all have billions of credits, I only have millions." I said casually. It was true and mostly likely even that amount wouldn't impress anyone at this party. No what I could have impressed people with wasn't here at the moment. I only wore a single pistol in a shoulder holster concealed, poorly, in my jacket.

"I came here to try and purchase a manufacturing facility, but they don't want to do business when they could party," I said starting to smile a little bit. "What brings you here?"

"Well would you look at that we already have something in common. I don't really fit in either though I figured my choice of clothing screamed that loud enough not to have to say it." Kitty was then surprised when the man said he had millions. He soon after asked her why she was here. "I am not entirely sure. I was board out of my mind and wanted something to do. I don't even have a million credits, I actually don't know how much I have, its not something I think about. However this trip is paid for so I figured why not enjoy myself. Now that I think about it though it might be nice to have some extra credits on hand. Surely all these people have no need for all that they have. I wonder if this is how most thief's start out. I'm sure if they suddenly had less money they'd be far more interested in earning some of it back. What do you think?" [member="Draco Vereen"]

She wasn't wrong about these people, and I could tell she didn't necessarily belong in this crowd, "What did you have in mind?" I asked, pretty sure she meant robbing these people. I wasn't really a planner or schemer, but I wouldn't mind following this felines lead.

Kitty was surprised to have captivated this mans interest. Had he missed the hint or not been interested she would have gone along like it was a joke. "Well I suppose if we are to get serious about this. We are going to have to put in some planning. We can't do it upfront and I can't do it alone both because you're already connected to me and I just can't do it alone. Doing just one or two people won't work since we can't be sure they will come to try and make their money back. We can't track a bunch of people as it'll take forever and we'll lose the element of surprise which would spell our doom. We would have to rob a bank however there is no way we could pull that off. Hmmm, is there anyone who was even remotely interested in selling to you regardless of any terms they may have had?"

"Not yet. I could always go put on my armor and we could do a whole bank robbery or high stakes heist." I laughed. It was a hilarious idea, robbing these people with some feline I had just meet. I wasn't all for it, though it wouldn't be my first robbery. "Or we could do it real simple, excuse ourselves to a room and loot the place of safes and valuables, bolt through one of the windows. That wouldn't require a whole lot of work, as you can see a few of these rich kids have already wandered off with their dates so it wouldn't look out of place, and no one is paying attention to whose leaving. We go to one of the rooms, you, as I am guessing you are more agile than I, can sneak through vents and let me into whatever room has the most shiny things." I smiled, still pretty sure she wasn't joking, but just in case she was I wanted to be able to try and play the whole thing off.

"You have armor, cool. Like I said I don't think we could pull off a bank heist and petty theft isn't going to get you your facility. That is the goal isn't it? Though I guess it doesn't look like any other option will work. I guess bank heist is our only option. If we are going to do this though we'll need more people and I have no idea who to trust. Do you know anyone?
[member="Draco Vereen"]

People I trust is one thing, people I trust enough to bring them on a bank heist, another. "Not really, and besides, you are sitting here trusting me, someone you just met to plan a robbery with. I think we should take a quick step back. I will get my facility eventually, regardless of what happens today. Next do you want to rob these people," I said motioning to the folks around us, "Or just people in general. Finally, why are we robbing folks. For some thrill, for the money, or to send a message?" I asked, putting my hands on her waist as the song changed. "What is it you would like to do?"

Kitty couldn't help but giggle at his trusting him comment. "I guess that is true. I don't really know why I want to do it, I guess its all three of those and I suppose in the long run I don't really care who it is weather its the rich people in here or out. I don't know what I want to do I just know I want to do something." Kitty considered for a second doing some meditation to sort her emotions out, but she decided that would be a bad idea with so many people around.

The man put his hand on her waist as the song changed and Kitty couldn't help but giggle again. "My names Kitty by the way. Can't say I was expecting a blind date coming in here." She said to [member="Draco Vereen"]

"A date, I thought we were in cahoots?" I said playfully, "But I can't say I was expecting this either. My name is Draco, miss Kitty and its lovely to meet you under these circumstances. Well I guess we should start with petty theft and work our way up to bank heist. That is the way of most criminals I have met. Most of the guys I knew in the joint did it that way. We can slip off into one of these rooms and go door to door ransacking the whole place, and what's the worst that happens? We have to leave, quickly and not come back. I can handle that kind of downside." I didn't mind robbing rich folks, besides they wouldn't miss most of what we could possibly steal.

Once again Kitty couldn't help but giggle. "Men always so literal. I doubt I will want to continue down this path. I have not the will nor the time for it. I suppose petty theft will sate my boredom and desire to do something dangerous on my own decision. I'll be sneaking into the ventilation right. Lead the way"
