FEATURES
  • Amphibious: The Parum-Class is capable of both traversing the ocean floor and proposition underwater using two small turbines on its rear.
  • Claws: The two vestigial claws mounted on the front are capable of tearing apart roadblocks, obstacles, and any unfortunate soul grabbed by them.
  • Internal oxygen creation tanks
  • Walker Communication Systems
  • Communication and Sensor Suite
STRENGTHS
  • Frontal Firepower: Its rapid-firing main gun combined with its ion cannon are formidable weapons alone, but what makes the Parum-Class so dangerous is its ten-cell proton missile battery, capable of unleashing an entire Y-wing's payload in a single salvo at point blank range.
  • Low Frame: The Parum-Class's low profile makes it hard to spot in uneven terrain and makes the walker an incredibly stable firing platform.
  • Endurance: Combined with strong armor and shields, the eight-legged walker can lose up to four legs while remaining fully functional.
  • Cheap to build and maintain: The Parum-Class's simple construction makes it easy to manufacture at a massive scale and maintain while in the field. Where more complex vehicles might break down over weeks of constant battle, this hardy walker can keep going without breaking an oil bead.
WEAKNESSES
  • Joints: While protected by shields, the Parum-Class Walkers' joints are far less armored than the rest of the vehicle.
  • Soft Underbelly: The underside of the Walker remains a weak point to mines or brave soldiers with satchel charges.
  • Rear: Most of the Walker's firepower is frontal, leaving it defenseless from the rear.
  • Exposed Optics: Due to the Pact of Apophis's struggling to get advanced sensor systems, the Parum-Class was forced to have most of its optics on the outside of the hull, leaving it vulnerable to being blinded if a marksman is skilled and daring enough.
DESCRIPTION

A simple, brutish weapon that once more showed the engineering prowess of Pandemonium's factories. The Parum-Class is built to be a close support walker capable of traversing any terrain in order to bring to bear its formidable arsenal. The ease of its manufacture allows it to be deployed in massive numbers during battle, seeking to overrun the foe with a metal tide.

Its most defining feature is the massive retractable proton-torpedo rack mounted on its roof, capable of unleashing a nightmarish salvo upon its foes. Where a heavy bomber like a Y-Wing might only fire two proton torpedos at once, the Parum-Class can fire ten before quickly retracting the rack in order to reload it for the second salvo. It can be equipped either with a heavy turbolaser for its main gun for anti-vehicle work or a 12.8cm Mass-Accelerator Cannon for objectives requiring more versatility. Should enemy infantry close the distance, explosive panels mounted on the Walker's exterior will unleash a metal-storm of fragmentation into their ranks.
