Passage through the Portal (Felix)

Certain sources in the rank and file of the Ascendancy had named [member="Felix Hardy"] as a potential asset. Thus, one night around three in the morning, a cold hand settled on his shoulder to wake him. The hand belonged to a phantom that blended with the bedroom with a subtle reddish glow, like smoke on a starless night.

Unnaturally blue eyes looked down at the dark knight, wondering how he would react. Attack? Flight? Voice? Patient observation? He might note that the incorporeal spectre stood halfway through some shelves on the wall. A physical attack wasn't likely to succeed.

"Give me some more time to sleep........ I don't want to wake up yet, just go wait in the kitchen..."

He would turn and look up at the thing and sigh, it wasn't who he thought it was. Why can't he ever just be left alone, but that'll never be the case so he sighed and got up, it didn't seem to be threatening him so Felix just merely shrugged.

"Who are you and what do you want? If this is important enough to wake my beauty sleep you better have something really good to tell me..."

He would yawn and rub his eyes looking at the thing examining it.

"Playing it cool, are we? Phlegmatic?" The spectre made a dignified sound that was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike a snicker.

"Fine, cards on the table. My name is Ashin Varanin. I sat on the Sith Empire's throne when you were a boy. I'm curious about the Sith Ascendancy, and willing to trade unique instruction for information. Are you interested?"

"I'm not playing anything, it's just simply stated that I ain't 'fraid of no ghost."

He would states simply watching and listening to the specter as he yawned again and nodded a little, Teaching? But What could this possibly want to know that would be so important to waste it's energy and time here? The thought would come across his mind as he thought about it. He looked up to where he supposed the head was stating,

"I will give you what you want in exchange for training in the dark side of the force."

"A simple enough bargain, on the surface." The dark silhouette pulled up a chair and crossed one leg over the other comfortably. "Lesson number one: never trust a simple bargain. What you know about my questions and my interest might prove valuable to your masters, if you decide betrayal is worth the risk. Likewise, I might take what I need from you and teach you less valuable things than you deserve.

"So let's do this one exchange at a time. Tell me... one ability you would like to know, and one piece of information you feel would be worth trading for it."

He would sit up in his bed and look down pondering the question, What did he want to learn? His mind raced through the many abilities he had learned throughout the years, some stuck out, some where just there and that were easily obtainable. Nothing stuck out, even if he found a ability that he wanted to learn, how did he know that this thing, she? He shrugged, it was a she from then on. He rubbed his eyes trying to focus and clear his mind as he sat there and looked at the figure his mind trying to wrap around this while he continued to search his mind for a force ability he wanted to learn.

Then suddenly it hit him, what if this was a trick, he didn't feel like getting killed for no good reason, but even if he asked how was he to know that this was legit and that she would teach him what he wanted to learn, and that she wouldn't disappear after he told her the information, he took risks but this one had some glaring holes in it he didn't want to fall through.

"How am I supposed to know that you won't just disappear after you get the information? And for your side how do you know I won't just use the ability or figure a way to get you out of here? There has to be a way for you to make me more reassured that I'm not putting my neck on the line for nothing."
