The Pathfinder-class frigate is the newest, and most advanced, offering from Starchaser Enterprises. Designed to assist non-government organizations, and Jedi Explorer Teams across the galaxy, the Pathfinder is a light weight, advanced Exploration/Research Vessel. With tools aboard to assist the vessel in staying hidden, and where that isn’t possible, staying alive long enough to run and hide, the Pathfinders are posed to be the premier research vessel. Able to scan and catalog many planets from orbit, and where collection is needed, can employ a vast amount of probe droids, and landing shuttles to complete research and exploration tasks that can’t be done from orbit.
Being sold to NGOs and Jedi teams, the weapons banks are designed with failsafes. For Jedi-equipped vessels, a system stolen off of archaic Vectors requires at least one lightsaber inserted into the point-defense banks, or missile launchers, for non-Jedi vessels, there is a two-point lock system, one from the bridge, one from the weapon bank itself.
With numerous containment systems and cells, along with the labs aboard the Pathfinders, the vessel is almost seen as too-clean compared to most vessels int his galaxy, but this allows the vessel to become the forerunner for larger treks, to begin working with new worlds, and new materials.
