Hello! I have cooked up an outline for a mission I'd like to run and would love it if any of you fellow writers would like to take part! It's a non-guided mission but it has a clear structure/outline. Meaning, there is no scheduled "Advancement" of the plot, advance at your own pace/as the writing happens! If anyone has any questions, or wants to participate, please let me know and I will tag you in the opening post.
MISSION BRIEF: OPERATION SHADOWS VEIL
Situation: A cryptic signal, originating from an ancient Jedi distress beacon, has emerged in the uncharted Voxx Cluster. The New Republic has assigned a Pathfinder unit, accompanied by a Jedi contingent, to investigate the signal's origin and purpose.
Mission: Investigate the mysterious signal in the Voxx Cluster, locate the source, secure valuable artifacts, neutralize potential threats, and assess and mitigate any dangers posed by an ancient adversary.
Execution:
Conclusion: Operation Shadows Veil demands precision, adaptability, and a thorough understanding of potential threats. Cross referencing our own intelligence with local law enforcement in the region has confirmed a heightened presence of marauders. Mission Personnel are likely to faces a moral dilemma and a race against time. Trust in your training, collaborate effectively, and may the Force guide you to success. Dismissed.
OOC Plot Direction:
In the distant reaches of the Outer Rim, a mysterious signal emerges from the distant Voxx Cluster. The signal carries the encrypted signature of an ancient Jedi distress beacon, lost for centuries. The Galactic Alliance assigns the 303rd Pathfinder unit, accompanied by a Jedi contingent, to investigate the origin of this enigmatic transmission.
As the Pathfinder unit ventures into the heart of the Voxx Cluster, they navigate through treacherous asteroid fields and encounter a dense nebula that disrupts their communication systems. The swirling gas clouds make navigation near-impossible.
Upon reaching the coordinates of the signal, the Pathfinder unit discovers a forgotten Jedi outpost. The outpost, now overgrown with alien vegetation, holds ancient holocrons and relics that could reshape the understanding of the Force. However, signal artifacts have appeared on short range scanners suggesting they may not be alone.
The Pathfinders and the Jedi face the dual challenge of navigating the hostile terrain of the outpost while dealing with the possible threat of other lifeforms, likely marauders. The Pathfinder unit must use their combat skills, tactical expertise, and the Jedi the Force, to outmaneuver the hostiles, all while avoiding triggering ancient security systems within the outpost.
As they delve deeper into the outpost's chambers, the Pathfinder unit uncovers a darker secret. The ancient Jedi distress signal was a desperate plea for help against an unknown and ancient darkness lurking in the shadows of the Voxx Cluster. The team realizes that they are not only dealing with pirates but also facing a formidable ancient adversary that hungers for the power contained within the Jedi outpost.
With time running out and the threat growing, the team must decide whether to retrieve the artifacts and risk awakening a dormant evil or abandon the outpost to prevent the ancient darkness from escaping into the galaxy once more. The Pathfinder unit faces a moral dilemma and a race against time as they strive to protect the secrets of the Jedi and prevent a catastrophic resurgence of the dark side.
