Nato has it a bit worse than that, after breaking her back on Coruscant when sith blew up the council (the first time), some people whisked her away, to put more in her to help her walk, nothing to do with Raien. It was part of some experiment.

That's why she's so self conscious about her appearance, but yeah that'd be an interesting little challenge.
