Description: Aaralyn Rekali was given the Pendant of the Singing Mountain by her father [member="Ember Rekali"] when she passed the Jedi Knight trials in 12 ABY. This pendant was made of a rare alloy and contained some of the most precious stones the galaxy ever knew. He saw fit that his youngest daughter and last Padawan hold onto the family heirloom which contained a hidden secret, a piece of the Codex of Tython. When Aaralyn Rekali returned to the known Universe in 834 ABY, she returned the Codex of Tython to the Jedi Order except the final piece. She decided to keep the final piece for herself to ensure that the Codex would be protected as it had been in the Rekali family for generations. As of the present the pendant no longer contains any pieces of the Codex, which have been given for safekeeping to Jorus Merrill.[/SIZE]
Security Measures:
The Pyronium casing was created as a shell around the piece of the Codex of Tython due to the alloy’s unique properties, since it created a distortion it was able to disguise the typical readings from the Codex of Tython from conventional methods. Since the Pendant itself had such a heavy Force connection to it's owners over the years, the small glimmer that the Codex piece might give away within the Force would be easily concealed in the metal casing. This unique property allowed a key to a holocron or the piece of the Codex of Tython to which Aaralyn Rekali discovered and subsequently hid to be concealed within the hollowed out Pyronium. The trick to opening the actual metal casing was not by brute force but by using the Force and manipulating the necklace itself and moving the unique pieces of the pendant in a clockwise direction until they aligned at a 45 degree angle. This included the unique ring casing at the top with the larger opening that contained the Star Sapphire. (See picture, which would depict it being opened)
Once this task was completed, the individual would hear a click, thus allowing the bottom to be opened by a simple thumb push or a gentle tap and the final piece of the Codex of Tython would fall freely from its confines or if it were a key to a Holocron. Holocron keys would be made into similar slivers as the final piece of the Codex if manipulated correctly.
