+ | I Suppose You Could Call Me Clever | + Penny is incredibly intelligent. Both of her adoptive parents were rather well-to-do which meant they could afford expensive tutelage. She spent most of her youth in an intense learning environment, soaking in every bit of knowledge that was offered to her, resulting in a very high IQ. As she grew she chose to branch off to specialize in biology (both human and other wise), xenolinguistics and semiotics.

Penny is completely invested in her family, a few close friends and work. Nothing and nobody can shake her loyalty toward the people who have earned it. She would bend over backwards for any of them. Though once lost her loyalty and trust are not easily gained again.

Logical thinking is the only way to go where Penny deWinter is concerned. Her extensive tutelage in all things scientific means she's barely ever perturbed by things that seem out of the ordinary. She looks at the Galaxy with eager eyes and a desire to understand and untangle all. Unfortunately, this sometimes means that certain things such as sarcastic comments can go over her head.

Penny is a say it like it is kind of gal. She spares no mind, body or soul when it comes to dealing out the truths, harsh or otherwise. She can't see much reason in covering up reality with jaded words. If there's a problem, either with herself or anything to do with work, she'd much rather people just came out with it. That way order can be restored as quickly as possible. More often than not people appreciate her honesty, unless she's being honest about them.

Penny is incredibly good at her job. Though she didn't know it to begin with her entire life has been leading up to this vocation. She's invested so much time in the project that she's rarely ever seen out and about in a social context.

Penny has been Penny for as long as she can remember. Her namesake Penelope happened to come from a very dear friend of her mothers who passed away shortly before her "birth". The only people she will allow Penelope from is her parents back home on Endelaan. Penny will absolutely not tolerate the same treatment from anyone else and doing so will likely earn you a one way ticket to a very angry woman.

Penny knows how to hold a gun. She can even point it at things and pull the trigger, but when it comes down to actually hitting something she's at a loss. Considering her affinity for books and not violence she's never really tried her hand at any other forms of combat either.
